Who'd make the best villain for the next movie?

As for me, I would like to see more of the evil "Empress Sato" from "Enterprise". Linda Park could reprise her role as Hoshi Sato, Empress of Earth in the mirror universe; still commanding starship Defiant that she stole from the evil Archer. (I'd love to see a twisted, sadistic Linda in a tight leather outfit) The Enterprise could get caught in a temporal vortex of some sort, getting trapped in the mirror universe. Or, the same could happen to the Defiant, landing them in the 23rd century where Kirk has to stop Sato from trying to capture the Enterprise & take it back to the 22nd century in Kirk's universe. With two Constitution Class star ships at her command, Hoshi would surely change Kirk's history, & that of Earth, forever... Anyone care to second the motion?

I like Enterprise and the Mirror Universe episodes. The Empress Hoshi Sato is very cool but I do not think there will be another time portal to a parallel dimension in the next movie. But I still consider your idea is very interesting for a story.

I would like to see something along the lines of a V'ger or Whale Probe like in TMP and Voyage home. It has been a while since the crew had an entity or non humanoid type of alien to overcome. That would be a bit different.

No villians, let them explore and have an adventure; meet a brand new race of aliens.

New villain.  The villain should be dark, gritty, incite terror and fear.  The new villain should shadow something from within our own society.  We should leave awed at the truth about ourselves.

I think themselves would be a great way to go.

I mean we have an even less disciplined James Kirk in command of the Enterprise and a Spock whose homeworld has been destroyed.  I think it would still make for an interesting story if much of the conflict was centered around Kirk and Spock still finding common ground.  The last movie basically wrapped everything in a pretty little bow at the end, but I think some tension between them can still eventually produce a strong friendship just like the Prime universe.  I just don't think it should be all smooth sailing now just because of defeating Nero together.

But you can't really center a movie around that, so I suppose I would rather them encounter a race (new or existing) whose existence is different now because of the events from in the last film.  Have something suspenseful unfold.  Not one villain hell-bent on revenge, but something where they can show off some solid special effects while still creating a tense story between the Federation and (insert race).

Good points, but I think they'd have to be careful here. They don't want to drag out a story line too much either.

I also hope for realism. If Kirk continues to be undisciplined and challenges authority he should be dishonorably discharged from Starfleet entirely...and I think that would ruin the movie and future movies.

Also, there are other ways to bring Kirk and Spock together than through continuing conflict with each other.

Joaquin, the trip is over. The battle begins again; only this time it is not a world to win. It is a universe.

Khan for the villain in the next movie. If not Khan, then more of a what/entity than a who/person/humanoid.

I know the comic books are not canon but the v'ger was involved in the last movie, those 25 years nero was waiting, involved a possessed ship that was drawn to v'ger in the delta quadrant.

Breen with JJ's touch. Have them at the beginning butchering a human colony on a far reaches planet because humans didn't know the breen owned that world. Keep the creepy language too, but with some way for us to understand as well.

While the mirror universe worked in the Prime time line, it wouldn't have the same effect with the JJ time line since all the events leading to the USS Defiant incident may not even happen so it wouldn't be a mirror but an alternate and I think Trekkies have had all they can handle of Alternates for the time being.
