CALLING ALL STARSHIP CAPTAIN'S!

Finally, a thread for the Commanding Officers of the sites that are advertised here among these boards.  Here, you may post your logs from your current ongoing missions aboard your sites so that other Starship Commanders or even other simmers may read them.  These logs may help garner new crewmembers.  So to any Commanding Officer who wishes to, you may post your 'Captain's Logs' here for all of 'The Fleet' to read.

Captain's Log: Stardate 78857.75

Finally, after the events from our most recent missions, Starfleet has seen fit to give us something nice and quiet. We are heading back out to the area where we fought our last battle of the war to investigate the wormhole the Perseverance emerged from. It seems to be that someone has stabilized the hole, we need to find out who and why. I will admit, I'm abit reluctant about going back to that area because of all the memories that are there but it is our jobs. The shuttle team that will be doing the brunt of the science work has already been chosen and assigned and shall go in the following order:

OIC is LtCmdr Raif Lan,
Tactical is Lt.T'shaing
Medical is Lt. Artin Rodran
Flight Control is LtJG. Kait Asher
Engineering is Lieutenant Nathan Shaw.

It is my hopes that we can conclude this investigation quickly so that my officers can take a much needed and well deserved shoreleave.

END LOG

Captain's Log: Addition,

We have arrived at our assigned destination and we have launched the shuttle that will investigate the phenomena surrounding the wormhole. Commander Lancy has been picking up some peculiar readings from the wormhole, including a stability that something of it's nature should not have attained. According to the scans the Commander ran, the wormholes event horizon has remained open and active even without any further vessels emerging through it. Also, it is emitting abnormal quantum particles, which has our science department up and 'in arms' if you will. Running a series of tests, they are preparing a special probe for the wormhole. Anticipating the possiblity of this being an enemy trap, I have ordered Ops and Sciences to work in tandem to monitor both the wormhole and the area for any enemy vessels such as the Xindi, Thrull, or Dominion.

On another note, Lieutenant Commander Laureen Valtara had to leave the bridge unexpectely and Ensign Wiley Guster quickly took her place on the bridge. The Ensign is new aboard ship and just reported in just moments after Valtara left the bridge and so usurped the position at the Ops console.

End Log

Captain's Log: addendum

The science department has yet to produce any useful information regarding the phenomena that surrounds the horizon event of the wormhole, or even of the wormhole and it's stability itself. The shuttle team has just gotten themselves into position to perform initial scans and will be altering course shortly for their next set of scans. Earlier, ships sensors detected a civilian mining freighter entering the system while I was in my ready room. Upon exiting, I heard Captain Eneas commenting on how the shuttle seemed off, and after double checking I confirmed that there was a ship on sensors....while yes, the shuttle was distorted on ships sensors for some odd reason. I'm not sure what Captain Eneas is up to, but I will trust her to know what is for the best at the moment; regarding whatever information she possesses that I do not.

Captain's log: Personal

We are in the very same area that; just one year ago this month, we fought the last battle of the Second Dominion War. The very same spot, where Jim and Chad both had their lives ripped from them.... from their families. Even with the Effexor and Wellbutrin, I find myself fighting the depression that comes with the first anniversary of the loss of my husband... most essentially since I'm spending it in the same area that I lost him. Talk about ironic....

Captain's Log; Addition

As it turns out, the mining freighter we caught on sensors was the least of our worries, as just a few hours after I left the bridge, the away and shuttle were captured and tractored to the 2nd moon.  I still haven't gotten the reports in from the away team on what happened, but according to Lieutenant Commander Lan; after Lieutenant Asher was questioned and tortured,  the entire away team was placed in a holding cell.  According to Mr. Lan, they weren't in there for more than a few hours when a 'mysterious saviour' showed up and gave them personal transporter devices and beamed them back to the ship.  Which; of course, this was substantiated by Lan's arrival on the bridge to hand me a device this 'saviour' gave him to give to me.  The instructions?  To initiate the transporters when the light flashed green, this 'saviour' was lucky that we were at yellow alert and not at red alert at this point in time.  Commander Ingerson had taken the Enterprise to yellow alert upon the away teams abduction.

AFter Lieutenant Commander Lan handed me the device and gave me the instructions, I ordered Lieutenant Acel'a and her team to the transporter room to await whomever; or whatever, would be beaming aboard. Approximately 10 minutes later the light blinked green and I gave the order to initiate transport.  Once Ensign Guster confirmed that transport was complete, I left Commander Ingerson in charge of the bridge and went down to meet whomever this 'saviour' was... this person that Lieutenant Commander Lan called 'Batman'.  Upon arriving, I found Lieutenant Acel'a and her men with their weapons aimed to the transporter platform and when I turned to see who was there... I was stunned.  Indeed, it was almost like looking at Batman except... there were not points for ears like Batman would've had.  "The Bat" revealed himself after I threatened to put him in the brig...turns out, Batsy was Commander Benjamin Williams, my long lost CSTO.  He did not show up uninjured; infact, he has several broken bones.

Commander Ben Williams has been out of action for months and  Iwas shocked to see him; and I could not decide whether I was happy or angry.  Finally, I decided on a mixture of both because while I was happy to see him, I was unhappy about the circumstances and the seemingly secretive BS that is surrounding his arrival, not to mention Captain Eneas' office at the present time.   Just after Commander Williams arrived back aboard the ship, I received word from the bridge that a vessel seems to have launched itself from the 2nd moon, but as of yet has not cloaked itself.

On a scientific note, the blackhole that has developed near the wormhole; which seems to have stableized the wormhole, also seems to have aided somehow in the distortion ripples that the ships sensors detected emanating from the wormhole earlier in the day, just before the capture of the away team.

MISSION SUMMARY-

AFter the meeting desolved and the senior staff returned to their regular duties, Lieutenant Commander Jeanne Lancy brought to Captain Kirk's attention her suspicions about Lieutenant Commander Raifi Lan. Captain Kirk then proceeded to converse with Lancy for a few minutes before leading her back into the Intelligence Offices; where she was asked to sign an NDA upon arrival, and was briefed on the same issues as the senior staff. During this meeting, Lancy's suspicions about Lan were brought to the attention of Captain Eneas, and after some minutes Commander Rok Ingerson notified Captain Kirk of a transmission that he'd unburied amongst the many different transmissions from the ship. At this point; after some heated debate between Lancy and Enaes, Captain Kirk ordered that Liuetnant Commander Raifi Lan be intercepted and brought in for questioning. Lieutenant Colonel Michael Scott was contacted and successfully apprehended Lieutenant Commander Lan. Interrogations will begin soon.

Captain's Log: supplemental

After nearly two days of studying the wormhole in the exact sector of space where the final battle of the Second Dominion war occured, our mission comes to a most unsatisfying end. The wormhole; it seems, just... disappeared without ryhme or reason. The science team aboard the ship are currently analyzing the sensor logs to figure out exactly what happened to the wormhole.

This is the second complete mission with Commander Ben Williams as my executive officer, and I must say that it is working out quite well with him in the position. Commander Ingerson will continue as the ships Chief of Operations and 2nd Officer just as he's been serving in the past.

Captain's Log: Personal
After the events of this last mission, for some reason I find myself exhausted. I think I will cancel the dinner I was supposed to attend tonight with Serys and Chad and their family.

Captain's Log: Stardate 78906.28

The Enterprise is currently enroute to the planet Deneva, where we are assigned to perform routine inspections, including medical check-ups for the Federation members who have colonized on Deneva. Finally it seems that Fleet Command has seen fit to assign the Enterprise to some fairly slow missions, missions that will be somewhat normal compared to missions past. Our last mission was relatively routine, and this mission promises to be relatively routine as well.

Enroute to Deneva for a routine check up, we recieved a distress call from the SS Jasper. ?The call was set on a continuous loop with a 10 second delay, unfortunately it was sent a few hours ago. ?The Enterprise; being the only ship within distance to save the crew, has responded and we are now on an intercept course towards the Jasper. ?We will arrive in approximately 10 minutes and from that moment we will proceed to begin evacuating the crew and passengers of the ship to the Enterprise. ?According to sensor readings, their shields are at 43% and falling and their warp core is failing quickly... and evironmental will be completely gone within the next half hour. ?I will be sending an away team over to the Jasper to quicken the evacuation process, the away team will be lead by Commander Williams and will consist of:

Lieutenant Commander S'Kar
Doctor Trayr
Commander Scott
and Lieutenant Commander Haran.

Once we are done with the rescue, we will resume course towards Deneva and resume our mission.

Starship Intrepid (NCC-1708)

Captain's log, stardate 8458.56.

Intrepid is now on fourth day of test cruise in sector zero-zero-three. Let it be noted that I am upgrading the level of irritation I currently hold as to the engineers at Starfleet's Orbital McKinley yards from "extremley irked" to "expanentially irked". For further elaboration on this, and....certain...other subjects......please see personal log.

~

-----

"Other subjects" being that poor Captain Xon's personal Yeoman, Lucy S'Rellian, recently confessed her love for him - only to murder her father in self defence shortly later and get caught up in her people's traditional justice system, whisked away for life imprisonment in Vulcan's Forge.
We have very bland, uninteresting crew interaction as you can see... ;)

Upon arrival at the location of the vessel that sent out the distress signal, an away team was launched on one of our Aeroshuttles. ¿ We recieved a communique from Commander Williams shortly before they restored lights to the dying ship, but it seems that with lighting restored some power was restored as well and a ####pening field was activated. ¿We have lost communications with the away team and we are currently attempting to get out of range of the dampening field so that our sensors may pick up any other vessels that maybe hiding under cloak out there. ¿As of yet we haven't escaped the dampening field. ¿As the minutes pass since we last heard from the away team, I'm forced to wonder what my away team is facing over on the 'dead' vessel, if; as I suspect, I have sent them walking into a trap. ¿

Captain's Log: Addition,

After a few hours of attempting to break the dampening field, Commander Ingerson suggested a surge to blow out the power on the freighter. ¿When we began attempting it, a Cardassian Galor Class Vessel decloaked off of our Stern and opened fire. ¿We did not have a chance to raise shields before the first shot was, and as such we sustained moderate to severe damage, including hull breaches on decks 2-24, sections 2a-14d as well as a busted matter-antimatter valve. ¿ We did manage to raise shields after that first initial shot by the Cardassians.

Our plan to surge the system to the freighter worked, a little to well as during the pitched battle with the Cardassian ship we had to extend our shields around the freighter in order to rescue our away team. It seems the freighter lost containment on it's warp field. Both the freighter and the Cardassian vessels were destroyed with multiphasic torpedos by the end of this occurance. ¿We are currently back enroute to Deneva at warp 5 to resume our original assignment.

USS Perseverance NCC-78905

Mission Briefing
With the fleet's political issues beginning to settle down and new officers moving into the FleetComm offices, it seems things are finally going smoothly for the reformed Federation. The Perseverance has returned home with little fanfare and once again explores the universe that she belongs to. Still, as there is with any revolution, dissent lingers amongst the citizens of the Federation. Minor uprisings on a number of worlds have caused increased activity on the part of the Strategic Services Agency, which is slowly replacing the Starfleet Department of Intelligence. These activities are opposed by many Federation citizens, Starfleet officers and civilians alike. With the Agency gaining a new director, the activity has slowed, but not stopped.

Starships are being enlisted to assist the Agency in its missions, causing further dissent in the fleet. The Perseverance is one of those starships.

At the "request" of Colonel Gabriela Torres, the Perseverance is to proceed under cloak. Her orders, officially, are to "observe and report any suspicious behavior along the Tholian border". Unofficially, known only to the ship's commander, first officer, and chief intelligence officer, she is to cross the border and obtain any and all information she possibly can without being detected by the Tholian Assembly. This information is to be revealed to the rest of the crew only after the ship has crossed the border, not before.

If the Perseverance is discovered by the Tholian Assembly, there is no backup. There are no ships to come to her rescue. Can Captain Valyre Reen and her crew accomplish this mission or will they have to fight their way back out?

Captain's Log, Captain Burnaldson

Stardate: (I'll fill it in later, but it's post nemesis)

As the final outfitting is completed, we now sit ready in Spacedock. Awaiting only the remainder of our crew before launch. Starfleet seems to have a sense of humor, giving a new Captain such as myself a Klingon Exec. and a Cardassian CMO. I was quite worried when I saw those two files cross my desk, but an hour in the Lounge quickly dispelled my fears. Far from killing each other, they seem very open to their situation. I'm sure Mr. Jereath's... unusual background is a contributing factor to this. I'm eager to get underway, but we have yet to recieve orders for our first mission. Something tells me, what with Mr. Jereath's interests in Arethian flu and the outbreak in the Acamar System, that Starfleet may send us there to offer aid. I have nothing against these kinds of Mercy Missions, but having come up through the Security Division, I somehow hate being assigned to them. Disease scares the Hell out of me. There's just something reassuring about a foe you can see and fight with your hands instead of a hypospray and a laser scalpel.

Captains Log: Stardate: 78906.62

We have arrived at the Deneva Colony and have establish a standard planetary orbit within the last hour. ¿The away is currently preparing to beam down to the surface in transporter room one, ready to investigate the mysterious behaviour of the citizens of the Colony. ¿For whatever reason, none of them are manning their stations at the Federation outpost, and in so doing have failed to intercept and/or respond to our hails. ¿Sensor scans have revealed that there are several life signs on the planet below, and as of this moment the away team is to assume they are going into a dangerous situation until otherwise noted. ¿

On a side note, just minutes before the away team is due to beam down, Commodore Trayr Serys alerted me to the fact that the OIC for the away team was well over-due for his physical. ¿The OIC for the team was supposed to be Commander Benjamin Williams, but with the discovery that he is way over due for his physical he has been relieved of duty on a medical basis with my signature authorizing this action. ¿This was done since at the moment Doctor Trayr is not the Chief Medical Officer for the Enterprise and therefore does not have the authority to relieve any of my officers without my authorization. ¿ Doctor Trayr; as the ranking officer on the away team, has officially been named the new OIC for the away mission. ¿ Even now, the away team is preparing to beam down to Deneva and begin investating the problems down below.

My fears have been confirmed. Starfleet Command has ordered us to the Acamar System on Launch. We'll be heading there as soon as our Conn Officer reports aboard. Starfleet has also warned us to beware of any possible security risks, they believe that the Romulan Tal Shiar have been stepping up efforts to gain intel about the Sovereign Class since the events surrounding the death of Prator Shinzon. To make matters worse, Lt. Jereath's research shows that there are only two races currently known to be capable of creating the virus that is afflicting the Acamarians, the Cardassians and the Bajorans. Research also points to this not being a naturally occuring virus. This could put further strain on our relations with Cardassia, and would not do well our political relationship with the Bajorans. I am not looking forward to this assignment.

It seems the Denevans have the worst luck, or it would appear so with nearly each visit the Enterprise makes to her.  If it's not flying parasites it's koolaid that makes everyone drunk when they drink it.   Upon arriving planetside, Dr. Trayr performed rudimentary scans before beginning her medical check ups, she said that the occupants appeared to be intoxicated and yet they showed no alcohol in their system.   During the first initial contacts, according to all reports, one of the Denevans assualted Dr. Trayr; but the situation was resloved with minimal fuss.  After confirming that the Devenan's equipment was in working order, I ordered Commander S'Kar to beam back up to the ship.   While serving bridge duty, Ensign Baker seemingly fell ill and subsequently was removed from the bridge.  This forced me to beam Lieutenant Walls back up to the ship to take over at the helm, as Lieutenant Asher is still not been reported as fit for duty. I also ordered Captain Eneas down to the planets surface. I recently received an update from sickbay on Ensign Baker's condition, it seems he was suffering from exhaustion and overwork.  He has been ordered to take a full 24 hours of rest before resuming his duties as Flight Control.  Commander Benjamin Williams was cleared for duty by the EMH and as of the moment has command.

Just moments ago I also received an update from the bridge on the current situation on Deneva.  It is apparent that the Ferengi convinced the Denevans to place a 'red powder' in their water to improve the taste, this is according to testimony from a witness on Deneva.  At the moment, we don't know what Ferengi ship was in this sector or who visited Deneva just a few days ago but we are attempting to ascertain that information now.  We have yet to discover the chemical compound of the red powder, but I am hoping to have that answer very soon from our science department.
