It's well established that FC is the best TNG film, so I want to know from you guys what's their second best cinematic outing?

Please try to keep it positive.

I voted for NEM. I think it comes close to matching FC, it has several significant flaws sure, but ends the TNG era reasonably well. Not great but good.

I will also vote Nemesis with Insurrection next. Generations is low on my list for favorites.

How much would you give NEM or INS out of 10 Narada?

There are things with Nemesis that can be improved starting with putting in some deleted scenes. Also things with the story can be improved. I will give it a 6 or 7 and same with Insurrection. First Contact I would give maybe an 8.

I need to think about this, SpaceClown.  In my book, it's either NEM or GEN.  I hate INS.

My problem is that I enjoy all the other TNG movies pretty equally. NEM, INS & GEN are all on equal footing for me. But I would have to give a slight nod to GEN.

Star Trek: Nemesis, I would give it a 7.5 out of 10. Followed closely by INS giving it a 6 of 10. GEN comes in last with a 5 of 10.

Mind you I give FC a 9.25 of 10.

Agreed FC was the top.
Second? I liked the humor in INS. I'm a sucker for stupid ST jokes. (My two favorite original crew moves were TUC and TVH.)

I voted for "Nemesis."

I put "Generations" close behind, mainly on the strength of the scenes that Shatner is in. "Insurrection" is after that.

I would have like GEN more if they didn't kill Kirk AND the Enterprise in the same movie. One or the other would have been more than enough for me, yet both together just kinda killed it for me.

It was tough in that regard. I remember seeing it with my dad, and we left the theater and he said, "wow, I'm not a huge fan...but seeing the ship crash and Kirk die really bums me out!"

I can relate, although what really killed it for me when I first saw it was Picard in the Nexus, didn't like his opening scene there at all. Mind you I like the film it just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth is all.

I agree with your NEM rating of 7.5 - some deleted scenes would improve the film for me though. It would just make NEM a more well-rounded film.

INS - Fans seem to tear it a new one, but I like it quite a bit and I've become fond of it. 7/10

GEN - Is a very tough one because there's too much going on at the same time, but I still find the film very entertaining to watch flaws and all(I can't say that about some of the Bond films...). 6.5/10

FC - Great film. TNG deserved to go out with a bang for the TV series in arguably the best Trek series finale in ''All good things...'' , and they NEEDED a spectacular cinematic outing which they got in FC. 9.5/10
