I just saw the season 7 episode sub rosa, but I could have sworn TNG had another episode with the same name. Did the writers forget?
Also I thought Gates McFadden looked like SN1 Crusher, her acting was PU. What are your thoughts? {think Ronin to refresh your memory}

Nope. Only one episode called "Sub Rosa", which is the one you saw. You're right. Not the best acting from Gates, and definitely not the best Crusher episode in my opinion. "Remember Me", "The High Ground" and "Cause & Effect" are far more superior.

I could have sworn there was another star trek episode called sub rosa, maybe another Trek series. Yeah I thought of kind of a bad episode.

Hi, RedShirt
No other episodes across the series were named Sub Rosa.
And Kukalaka (love that name)... "Cause and Effect" is not only a good Bev episode, but just a great episode. Jonathan Frakes did great directing it.
Other episodes for Crusher I thought were good were "Attached" and "Suspicions".

hey shaker haven't seen you in awhile how u been?
Cause in Effect was awesome, the thing that made me laugh in sub rosa was that Ronin guy was supposed to be in his 30's he looked older to me. Script or actor screw up?

Yes. Actor Duncan Regehr was 42 at the time. He also ended up playing Shakaar on DS9. Most scifi geeks (and fans of 80's monster films) will also recognize him as Count Dracula from "The Monster Squad".

Hi, RedShirt
I went vacationing on several Jimmy Buffett Concerts for a little while. When I got back there didn't seem to be any threads that peaked my interest or motivated me to post. Additionally, work and school have been keeping me busy. But it is nice reading everybody's questions, comments, and discussions again.
I always thought of and recognized Duncan Regehr from the 80's Zorro show.

I never really understood the intense hatred for this episode. I mean, it's a bad episode, but I thought it was a pretty benign waste of time.

The producers said "Sub Rosa" was their "ghost story" episode of TNG. I just wish they would've gone more "Poltergeist" instead of the "Harlequin Romance Trash Novel" of a story. They missed the boat on this one. I don't hate the episode. I just get disappointed everytime I watch it, thinking what "could have" been.

There were 2 characters we saw in TNG with the last name of Rossa......Starfleet admiral Connaught Rossa and her grandson Jeremiah Rossa.(TNG: "Suddenly Human")
Also the names of Lt. Commander Connor Rossa Moira Rossa were mentioned.
Maybe thats what your remembering????
