Oh, an by the way, since it was lost in battle, it was presumed destroyed... which means that when Bok returned it to Picard, it was not a commissioned ship. Therefore it could not be decommissioned.

BUT. ?over time clear issues pop up. [Truncated to save space]

Yes, and they get corrected, whereas a new design has new problems to be solved.

Can you replace a hull?

Apparently you can, given the almost entirely new configuration of the 1701's hull after it's refit.

Don't forget that Decker in TMP implied that much of the internal layout of the ship was altered, as well.

Computer core? ?Not until about the time of Voyager.

Every ship capable of space travel has a computer core. That includes current vessels, like the space shuttles. Hell, even the Lunar Lander has a computer core of sorts.

And it was hard to put back in.

The only time we saw one get put back in was in Voyager. And they had no problem doing it in the middle of nowhere.

NOTHING LASTS FOREVER.

A century is hardly "forever."

Kirks Enterprise did NOT.

That's because he blew it up. And the other one was retired with him.

Quote
Get the picture. ?Keep in mind Kirk's first Enterprise was supposed to be decommissioned before it got destroyed.

BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT UPGRADE IT. ?DUH.

They decided to decommission it because it was so badly damaged.

I'm dun trying to bang with morons. ?Good-bye!

Everyone but you, huh?

The Stargazer WAS RECOVERED MORON.

Next Generation epicode.

lol.

KNOW YOUR STAR TREK!

Daimon Boc returned it to picard so he could attempt to destroy the Enterprise-D under control of a mind control device as revenge.

She's a beutiful ship.

Insulting others again.

How childish.
