The Silence is set in an alternate reality, where the Silence slips through an unseen "wormhole" and is tossed into a reality unlike anything they've encountered before. The Romulans are all but decimated. The Federation is scattered, treaties and alliances long since forgotten, and broken. The Klingons, are weakened, and scattered amongst their borders. Former Federation colonies and members have declared war against Starfleet. Which, is now ran, solely by Earth forces. Imminent danger, lurks around every planet, every new contact, a potential threat.

Now, the crew must find their way through this shattered universe while helping to reunite the Federation using the guidelines they brought with them.
