As I said yesterday. Add some substance to your posts or you will remain looking like the Loon you claim Abrams to be. For someone who has strong opinions about Star Trek you would think you would write in a style that would give you credibility and have your points being taken seriously.

I am still with dj on this one though. The engineering fiasco is almost as bad as TFF 78 decks. In TFF that was just plain ignorance on someones part. They could have left it at 21 decks given the between decks space it could have been enough for Spock to shoot up. Next time you see a 21 to 25 story building look up at it.

In Trek 11 it was left intentionally to give the feel of the size of a warp capable ships engine room. That to me was just a copout for not wanting to spend more time and money on both Engineering sets.

Although to be honest there was something about they way the shot and dressed the Kelvins engineering set that did not look to bad. It almost was a logical progressions of Enterprise's Engineering. Gee the Kelvin was great in the movie. Hopefully we will see a few comics or novels based on the Kelvin.

Don't get me wrong this movie still ranks #2 for me behind TVH but some of the ideas and impracticalities in Trek 11 still get me. Even so why did I feel like we were still on Delta Vega after they transwarp beamed to the Enterprise. It didn't take away from my enjoyment the 1st time I saw the movie simply because I was jonesin for Trek.

Actually, did you ever see Church's engineering concept?  Still nothing like the original Engineering, but was very cool I thought.

I like this Jackie Boy Brewery site it makes me want to have the beer!

I am feeling similar to people who wish for the next movie Engineering section to be improved. Even though I love beer and would like to visit a brewery they can have an even better Engineering section. That being said I also feel it is fun and humorous to use a brewery it is like a tongue in cheek joke that beer is cool for exploring space.
