I thought the whole scene where scotty was inside the water tube was cheesy.

Well. There are so many bad scenes in this farce to choose from. I can't make up my mind. The scene I most disliked was the destruction of Vulcan. It was completely unnecessary. The only reason that scene was even in the movie was so that JJA could drive the point home that this is not "our" Star Trek anymore. He apparently wanted to let every one of us die hard TOS fans know that he has the reigns now and he can do whatever the hell he wants to do with Star Trek and there's not a frakkin' thing we can do about it. That scene pi$$ed me off beyond belief. But that wasn't all. The Willy Wonka water pipe scene was just plain stupid. The "transwarp beaming" nonsense was just that, nonsense. All the rediculous coincidences and contrivances that got all the crew together on the Abramsprise before they were supposed to be there were idiotic. Inexperienced, not-even-graduated-yet Kirk getting command of the Abramsprise was totally unrealistic. The phasers sounded like Naboo blasters. The shuttles sounded like the Jetson's car. Spock's jellyfish sounded like a pod racer. NuDelta Vega looked like Hoth. Scotty was a joke. Keesner...ugh...I'd like to run him over with a bulldozer. The NuHyperWarp effect looks like hyperdrive from Star Wars. The Abramsprise arriving at Vulcan was a blatant copy of the Falcon arriving at Alderaan scene. The whole NuSpock/NuUhura...thing...was revolting and unnecessary. NuKirk was a pompous ass who needed his teeth kicked in a few times. Poor Nero. I almost feel sorry for him. He was the worst villain in Trek history. Even worse than Shinzon. The Abramsprise was pure butt-ugliness personified. Oh there is sooooo much more. I just don't want to write a book.:) Suffice it to say I enjoyed this movie as a generic sci-fi/action/time travel flick but as a Star Trek movie, it was sorely lacking.

NuTrek sucks targ booty!
