After seeing interviews with (and listening to commentaries by) various castmembers, producers, and writers, I have a notion of what they might be like in real life. There are some that I think would be really interesting to speak with (including nonTrek topics).
Has anyone here been fortunate enough to meet any of them and have a real conversation with them? I don't mean meeting them at conventions and getting your picture taken with them or just getting an autograph.
Just curious to what they're like when not in front of the cameras or spotlights.

If memory serves me right, someone here said he/she worked for some insurance company and once had to get Bakula's signature on something. That's how they met outside a convention.

I met Connor Trinneer and Dominic Keating at conventions on the east coast. I had a chance to speak with both of them briefly and both seen to be great guys. I saw John Billingley ion person but didn't get the chance to speak with him one on one. Now I want to meet the real star of Enterprise: Jolene Blalock.

Try to met her not at a convention, as whyaduck was interested in. BTW, I finally saw her in a ST-1 episode last night. She wasn't as bad as some people said on the boards. I wasn't paying much attention to the ep, though. I was only looking at Jolene - imo she was good enough there.

I had a friend that met Bakula at the bank we work (before I started and before QL was popular). She said he was very kind and generous with his time and also, his wife at the time was very understanding. The women of the office kind of swooned and his wife didn't make a big deal out of it! Unfortunately, I didnlt get to meet him, so I must live vicariously through her!

Well, why do Trinneer and Keating always look so scruffy and unshaven at conventions? I mean, T-SHIRTS, really?! Bak at Las Vegas

What year was that? Was that when he was in Shenandoah? He had long hair for that. About the same time he was first on New Adventures of Old Christine with long hair.

Yup. He was in Shenandoah in 2006. Explains the long hair.

You guys are right. That picture was from Vegas 2006. Bakula's 2008 Vegas Picuture was much better.
Back on Topic: I got my picture taken with Manny Coto.

In may of last year, I saw Reid at a Broadway event in which his brother or nephew was the star of the show.

It was Jersey Boys. I think it was his nephew that he said was in the Musical. It was a great show and I had a chance to rub elbows with one of my favorite Enterprise actors. I, of course, would have preferred Jolene.

Does Russell Watson count? I saw him live at Jeff Wayne's "War of the Worlds Live on stage"

Russell Watson's pretty cool. It's too bad he's gotten such a bad rap by singing a controversial theme song.
