Star Trek

I finally finished it (took me forever with my GIS class occupying me).

I actually preferred it to the film. It explains some of the plot holes a bit better, IMO. For instance, Nero makes it very clear that he intended to destroy the sun after he destroyed Vulcan and Earth (did he say this in the film? I don't remember). I also like that Nero encountered more opposition from his crew in the book than he did in the film.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else had some opinions regarding the book.
