As a long-time Trek fan, I'm always on the alert for Trek alumni in other movie and TV projects, so I was delighted to see ENT's Scott Bakula in TV spots for the upcoming film The Informant. Starring Matt Damon and directed by Steven Soderbergh, The Informant appears to be a cloak-and-dagger comedy along the lines of last year's Burn After Reading. Judging by the TV spots, Scott appears to have a fairly significant role in the film as an FBI Special Agent Brian Shepherd. Early reviews for the film have been mainly positive, and I for one hope this will be just the first of many successful big-screen ventures for ENT's Captain Archer!

Check out the hottest male on enterprise thread. There's a link to a press conference held in Toronto last week. Scott is there.

I'm going opening day along with, NATURALLY, two of the young folk I've brought into the ENT fold who are rabid about ENT nowadays. The niece has a thing for Trinneer; the nephew has a thing for Bakula.

I cannot seem to get anyone to go with me, BUT I don't care!!!!  I am going!

Did you see on the hottest male thread that Trip is in the lead - a significant lead!  Your niece is in the majority, BUT your nephew is right!

roser - Trip may be in the lead in poll votes, but as grigori and I agree and on which we've commented, actual comments/posts show that Archer is definitely the hottest.

It's a matter of quality of vote vs. quantity of vote. :)

I defer yet AGAIN to that all-important distinction between "cutie" and "hottie". Some people can't take the heat.

AMEN SISTER.

I wholeheartedly agree with Bak as THE MAN in this series!

However, the voters are disagreeing with us despite the prodigious amount of posts and the amazing volume of STUNNING Archer/Bakula pics --- mmmm.

Too bad I can't see the pictures here!

Looking forward to the movie.  It looks hilarious!  Scott Bakula and corn.  As an ENT fan and an Iowan, what more could I ask?   :D

Not too far from his own roots, either (IN --> MO).

Though I never understand a geographical region paradigm that puts MI in the same Midwest category as KS.

Funny Phlox!  I LOVE IOWA!  JTK birth state and all.

Plenty of corn country between Scott and a few of his characters:

Scott is from MO.
This movie is set in Decatur, IL.
Sam Beckett is from IN.  Proving once again that there is MORE than corn in IN. haha
Too bad Archer is from NY state.

I wish I had known about the filming of the the movie, I would have taken time off for that and driven to Decatur (a couple hours from where I live in IL).

Yeah I agree with you MI doesn't seem to belong, BUT pretty much IN, IL, IA, MI, WI, MO, and sometimes MN get lumped in there, right?  Although MI, WI, MN are sometimes referred to as the Great Lakes, so maybe their not part of the midwest, eh? I always thought of KS as a plains state?  Is it considered part of the Midwest?

As long as we're talking Midwest.  (One of my favorite subjects!;)
James T. Kirk - Iowa
Avery Brooks - Indiana
Kate Mulgrew - Iowa/Kathryn Janeway - Indiana
Scott Bakula - Missouri
You need a starship captain?  Welcome to the Midwest!

p.s. The US Census Bureau considers the following to be midwestern states:  Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.  (Yes, there is overlap with the Great Lakes states.)

Hey, hey, hey. NY is a great state to be from (as well as a state of mind).
