>Well Nacht what you like or don't like is a matter of taste. I personally subscrbe to the philosophy of "Don't like Don't Read". Would you want to see less of the kind of stuff you don't like, which you don't have to read, if it also meant the stuff that you like would be so much harder to find as well?? I will say that I am a woman but have made no contribution to the amount of slash, het, crack, or fluff out there. General no-sex fanfic... that's different.

Same here. The great thing about fanfic is that more-often-than not it's so well catagorized that you've got a good idea what you're going to get, at least it terms of things you consciously want to avoid.

There'd also be a lot more erotica and a lot less romance.

Personally, I'm a fan of slash, specifically the Kirk/Spock pairing. All the evidence I needed for it was in Amok Time, when "killing" Kirk was enough to bring Spock out of Pon Farr.

Please, Captain, not in front of the Klingons.

Hehe...no problem for some, but since I go to K/S for romance, and to things like Anais Nin and smutty bodice-rippers for erotica, I'd be sad-faced.

I guess since I'm not interested in slash in a general sense, the descriptions of man-on-man action aren't all that compelling to me. But the romance I see between Kirk and Spock just knocks me flat.

I'm also not a fan of the fluff and the crack, but I'm always on the look out for more angst and romance.

K/S is like...like, Jane Eyre. So romantic on its own merits that the sex scenes feel really superfluous to me.

A little romance is acceptable to me depending on what pairing.  With Garak and Bashir, I expect there to be some.  But with a pair like Weyoun/Dukat, Weyoun/Damar, angst ridden non-con all the way.

I like that he is green though

Too green! Puke green. Takes away from his supreme hotness! That is a ST sin. LOL

I like a good balance. 2/3 romance, 1/3 smut. HA! LOL No but seriously, I have no problem with graphic depcitions of sex if the story is otherwise solid. But then again, I seem to be in the minority that wants a  grittier, less melodramatic ST. Oh well.
