I have trouble with the Holidays being stressful. I want to change the stress with something I can always find comfort in. You know, Star Trek. That way I can maybe have what it seems like everyone but me experiences. You know, a happy holiday. Star Trek is family to me. I would like a happy holiday with Star Trek at the center instead of RL family with issues at the center. :)

In StarTrek episodes and movies we see how many times characters are faced with a similar loss or at least a quandry that relates to our own personal struggles.
..........
I so completely understand the choice to choose an alternative way to experience what we assume others experience for what I personally term the 'Horrordays'.

So what better way to focus than on our own special universe to give us comfort.

...............
Liked thinking about what you wrote to anothercrewman. Right indeed that sTar trek has a kind of grounding effect at times of discord or dispare.

Horrordays huh? I like the sound of it. Or 'Tis the season too be shell shocked'. Tina Fey on 30 Rock called it Ludicristmas one year. I liked the s ound of that too. The horrordays are statistically the most stressful time of the year. Right up there with death and taxes.

Hola StarTrek people! Hope all are doing fine. Am full swing into moving and will be until February. Going to smaller digs. Divesting household of non-essentials. Packing what I can before the actual move. Living out of boxes when it comes down to the date. Then the move out. The move in. Unpacking. Organizing. Not my choice of ways to spend the winter or season, but life has dealt a hand that I am going to have to jump into and go with the flow until the destination has been reached. Ah me. C'est la vie, n'est pa?

Which, I fear, means my time here will be all but eliminated until February.

I have had the neighborhood premier of StarTrekXI. It was fun. Lots of kids, lots of happy people.

I have watched STXI on more than one occasion since. It always lifts me.

Our weather here has been holding in an almost autumn-like pattern. Can only keep fingers crossed it will hold all winter until I get resettled.

Until then... Happy Whatever anyone decides to celebrate. Good vibes to you all. I will be back when... I guess, when I get back.

These are the voyages....

And mikne too. I've taken what anothercrewman spoke of to heart myself. I've adapted some of it myself. It's nice to hear it's working well for you galaxyclass. And you know I'm not getting here much myself either. Busy time of year. It's n ice to drop in once i n a while but mostly o ther things are filling my time. Exce pt there's always time I can fit in more Voyager. Hope TYGR stops by to see my best wishes to him in the move. Hoope anothercrewman's Star Trek season is going as well as what he or she inspired you and me into doing.
