so what do you think is better?  planting a slow growing high yield crop?  or fast growing lower yield crops?

I can't decide.

Fast growing I always feel I need to watch it regularly, wich is irritating sometimes especially when doing some work. But the slow grows are always so pretty.

I would think the fast growing crops would deplete the soil faster?

well I did some math.  Fast crops seem to yield more per hour.

Last night when I got home from work I planted strawberries. They were dead by 6:00 am this morn! :O

I planted it for a fast crop...but, wow! I re-planted with pumpkins, squash & eggplant while I am at work.

I am just learning the intricacies. It is like building a puzzle.  :D

Strawberries do wilt quicker then the others. Luckily I have never lost anything else.

yeah.  Timing is everything.  From what I gather you have as long to harvest it as it takes to mature.
