The more I think about it, the more I am intrigued about Gene's creation of the defunct United Earth Space Probe Agency (UESPA) in Star Trek lore.
Moreover, as I reviewed the history of UESPA on Memory Alpha and have found the information refreshing. It would seem to be an excellent premise for a series or a movie. It's importance to the development of the Enterprise and its mission cannot nor should not be ignored.
To me, its the missing link that would successful connect the timeline of Enterprise and TOS and would enhance future development of the neo-timeline movies/series, etc.
Just thinking out loud! I just think that it is a part of Starfleet history that has been underscored.

No that's what Enterprise was all about.

UESPA was just a name they used twice in the first season of Star Trek before they had consistently established "Starfleet" as the authority to which the Enterprise belongs. They also made references to "Space Central" and "Star Service."

I used the term underscored. Which means that there is no historical framework exploited and revealed in any series or movie about the UESPA.
