They could do a lady dance at the start of each episode, as the popular lesbian Ellen does

Because, you know, in the 21st century, we still define people by their sexuality. Rediculous.

You mean 24th century, right?

No Scott. I'm talking about the 21st Century. You don't get it.

Your "talk show" post is offensive, NOT funny. You refer to Ellen as "popular lesbian" Ellen. Why not just say "popular talk show host, Ellen"? Or even just "Ellen"? We all know who she is. It's like saying, "Oh, here's popular Jew, Ben Stiller talking with black actor Will Smith!"

As far as the rest of the post, it completely objectifies women. The comments that the ladies made in "Insurrection" were statements made to express their amazement that their bodies felt younger, not to objectify themselves. You seem to have taken it the wrong way and ran with it in your highly rediculous "talk show" scenario.

Yes, JOYOFVGR, this is the TNG message board...and this is definitely a thread that doesn't belong here.

Actually, DarthRage, if you knew me, the person I am and the content of my character, you'd see that I have a very thick skin. I can tolerate quite alot. Except ignorance and childishness. Did you read ScottGuinan's talkshow scenario? Did you read Admiral_JTK's response? Those kinds of posts don't belong here.

Can anyone tell me during which (if any) seasons of the show Gates used her real hair? I know this seems like a silly question, but as my favorite TNG lady the one thing that's always bugged me is her "morphing" hair! Not until seasons 6/7 is it ever the same in any 2 episodes!

I enjoyed Gates. She brought us a great character in Trek.

..and man she was hot in the holodeck :)

(can't get to photobucket at work here, or I'd post a pic)

Indeed. I like her as an actress and I liked Beverly Crusher.

yeah but she was so bad in season 1, during her time away she must've went to actors' school.

Really? I thought she was the best of the 3 actresses in the first season. Most of poor Marina Sirtis' scenes were laughable until the 3rd season, and Denise Crosby, while not bad per se, just wasn't that convincing to me until later in the season.

Denise Crosby wasn't there long enough to make an acurate rating.  She was bad ass as commander sela.  Troi just had the same lines over and over again.  No McFadden was bad in season 1 that's why she got fired.  I think Trek fans screwed up though when they didn't like Pulaski...she was a better, actor, and more fun.  She reminded me a lot of McCoy.  I just wish people would have forgave her for that one line against Data, she learned to accept him later on that season, but people didn't pay any attention to that.

I'd have her play a role in which she time travels back to Earth to stop an airborne variety of the AIDS virus that was deployed by a time travelling hostile alien race.

Yeah, but it'd have to involve whales.

I absolutely LOVE Gates McFadden as Beverly Crusher. Dr. Crusher would not have been the same played by anyone else. I am perfectly happy with who she is! (Although I do wish that they had had more episodes focused around her...)

I am a fan of Dr. Crusher, but she and Captain Picard finally got married (see the Destiny novels, for one source). Do you think she and Geordi could have tried to rebuild a better Data than B-4?
