Gates McFadden is a lady actor or actress, I don't think anyone can call that nonsense talk today!

Is she appreciated as she should be. Even by the Star Trek she is a lower rung cast member. She no do big role in movies. She no do big role in any movies!

If you were put in charge of a new Next Generation tele movie and the only rule being... wait for it.... get this.... wadooo..... that it had to centre around Bev the Crusher-Doctor --- what would you do?

What would tha story be? Who would be in conflict? When would it be set?

How would you bring Bevverstery to the forefront of the tale?

Would it be a hoot? Can't be a drag, or no one will watchin it of course!

Of course, bear in mind lots of people think she is a stupid Oh No. I don't agree.

Who is Gates McFadden? Was she one of the women who talked about her boobs in Insurrection or was she the redhead who had barely anything to do in Nemesis?

She is the one who wasn't brave enough to stand up to her life-long friend when some 21st century broad he barley knew had the guts to tell Picard he was acting like a tool in First Contact.

I think the previous three posts has to be the highlight of my day...and it's not even 8:30am yet! Thanks for my morning laugh guys!

I'll try and get back to this post later and give a real answer. Can't concentrate on an answer right now as I've laughed so hard my sides are hurting!

i believe a movie that centered around crusher would have to center around picard too... and it would be a cheese dck romance story... i suppose it could be descent, it would take a much better writer than i am... but imo, it would be a waste of a trek movie

I think it could be done really well, and be a good social commentary about women's rights, working mothers and just how you juggle huge responsibility with your personal life... or not as the case maybe. But would it be Star Trek enough?

It's about time women got real equality in fiction.

What about a talk show with Gates, Nana, Kate and Joelene, in character as Beverly, Kira, Janeway and T'Pol, hosting together each episode?

They could do a lady dance at the start of each episode, as the popular lesbian Ellen does, except their dance would involve four of them, so would have an increased chance of success, if you following Vulcan logic.

They could talk about topics, interview celebrities and throw in references to Star Trek lore and their experiences.

Beverly: "Jeez, I remember when we were all saving the Ba¿ku, you know from the Son¿a, and Troi and my tits got firmer, and we like, felt more like women"

{Audience shocked}

Janeway: "Beverly!"

{Beverly tries to calm down the audience}

Beverly: It's true, we both said it.

Janeway: "We should be beyond defining ourselves as women by the firmness of our breasts"

T'Pol (aside to audience): Even in the 22nd century we're beyond the firmness of our breasts.

{Audience laughs}

{T'Pol looks down at her breasts proudly}

T'Pol: Well, maybe not completely.

{Audience laughs again}

{T'Pol, a little carried away with the attention, jigs her chest from side to side a few times, winking}

T'Pol: Hey? Hey? Whattya think of these babies? Pretty nice, huh?

{Audience applauds}

Kira: But seriously, from one 24th century chick to another, Deanna Troi said that because her tits felt firmer, she felt more like a woman? Is that what you're saying, Beverly?

Beverly: Well she didn't say that exactly....

Kira: Come on Beverly, we've all seen Insurrection, all she did was agree with you when you said your tits were firmer.

{Audience laughs, at Beverly}

Janeway: That's what I thought, I don't remember anyone saying it made them feel more like a woman!

{T'Pol is laughing at Beverly, who gives her an angry look}

Beverly: That's very rude, T'Pol.

T'Pol: Oh jeez, I'm sorry. But it's just so obvious that it was only you that felt more like a woman because your tits were firmer.

{Audience in hysterical laughter, Beverly now mortally embarrassed}

Beverly: So?

{Janeway is about to step in, this has gone too far embarrassing Beverly. Kira is just keeping back but is entertained by the fact Beverly is in trouble.}

T'Pol: So? So you made out that it was Troi as well, when it's so obvious....

Beverly {defensive}: What is obvious?

T'Pol: That youre 20 years older than she is.

{Beverly, leaps out of her seat to attack T'Pol}

Beverly: IT'S ONLY TWELVE, YOU ####ING GREEN BLOODED Oh No.

{Janeway leaps in to break up the fight}

etc... etc....

And yes, I have left out Marina as Troi, she is empathic and would be so annoying in a talk show with her vague references to how people are feeling.

And T'Pol isn't acting like a Vulcan because Blalock never acted like one in the series, so why start now?

Because, you know, in the 21st century, we still define people by their sexuality. Rediculous.

I've done almost 6 seasons of TNG by now, and I don't think she's underrated - she's shown just ok for her character. She has some good episodes where she gives her acting aptly enough (Remember Me, S.4 ep.5)
