Berman and Braga were the worst writers I've ever seen and didn't really care or know about the series.
Why can't Enterprise fans just accept that?

The television series ENTERPRISE (aka STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE) was nothing more than an elaborate holodeck program created by people from the future, that dramatized actual historical events from the 22nd Century in a gussied-up, non-canon way. This was done, both in-story and behind the scenes, in order to make the series more appealing to viewers, who were used to more modern conveniences. The only exception to this was an episode that set itself apart from the rest of the series. The episode "In A Mirror Darkly" stood well enough on its own and had more credibility, while being a clever allusion to TOS. "In a Mirror Darkly" would do well in a Star Trek television anthology series, and would serve as a great pilot for a series of its own. Now ENTERPRISE was fun to watch, but the television series itself was not a direct prelude to TOS - only the historical events that it dramatized were . ENTERPRISE was not a true prequel to any of the other Star Trek series - to say otherwise would be like saying George Washington crossed the Delaware River in a speedboat, or that the Magna Carta was drawn up on a word processor. It was a mistake for anyone to try to alter Trek history in order to make it appealing to the viewer. History needs to be shown as it actually occurred and it is the producers' job to make it interesting! A good example is what you see on The History Channel. For how it really was during the era of Captain Archer and his starship, check out these websites: Star Trek: Foundationsand The Starfleet MuseumThese would provide superior material to base episodes of a Star Trek anthology or continuous series on, instead of just relying on Commander Riker's imagination!

Hey Brian, do you think that the altered timeline (or universe) that was introduced in STAR TREK XI should finally be revealed as an elaborate holodeck program, and we can get back to good old traditional Trek in its Prime existence?

Yeah, I wasn't even expecting TATV to be a holodeck episode. I would've told it as a Q Episode myself... Q has these magical powers, and perhaps traveling in time to the 22nd Century would've been one of them. It would've made a great two-parter finale, Q would bring them to the 23rd Century in Part I, and to his time in the 24th Century in Part II, then return them to their time in their era. That would be far better than a holodeck simulation, imo.

Well, that was, of course, if John DeLancie was even in any shape to do any of that stuff that he did in TNG and VOY. I'm trying to remember if Q was even in DS9, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm looking through the episode guides.

And in conclusion ladies and gentlemen, it's because of "fans" like these that we now have nothing but "Kirk and Spock" reboots once every three years in theaters!

Why do people put crap like this up, if you did not like a specific series (for example I do not care for TNG), that¿s cool we all have different taste. But trolling on the boards is silly and lacks common courtesy.
