I'm curious with this crowd: without revealing any particulars, how many of you have an actual Trek-related vanity plate? or something else Trek on or in your vehicle? OR any other sort-of-permanent testament to your recreational proclivities? I mean, does anyone actually have a TATTOO? I find that I've loosened up about being a geek as I age. I dunno, fewer people to impress, more comfortable in my skin... Just got a vanity plate. It only appears Trek to other Trekkers.

No grigori, you are not. But there is potential for cuteness... No tatoo for me.

Very good way to put it. That's exactly how I think of myself--lack of category. Bookworm, grad degrees in the Humanities (ultra abstract). Black belt, scuba diver, bachelorette sci fi "nerd"...literary tastes both philosophically erudite and with a definite penchant for tactical intrigue and pretty explosions. But getting a vanity plate has pushed me into SOME new category, I'm afraid...just wanted to know if anyone else was out there!

I actually had this discussion at work one time, here we go let's ask all of you:
What is worse, a nerd, a geek, or a dork?
Here are my definitions:
A nerd is a person who knows alot about one particular subject. If you ask a question, he will be able to give you an acurate answer and probably have resources to back it up. So much that it could be scarey. (I consider myself an astronomy nerd to a degree.)
A geek is OCD. Not only will he know a lot about one thing but he or she can be a crazy lunatic at times. If a person was a Geek about Unicorns, you would expect to see several unicorn pictures and tokens in their bedroom.
A dork is well the sad person you feel sorry for because no matter what he says or does it always appears a bit awkward. They may or may not be smart, but they are definitly awkward. (IE I look like a dork when I dance.)

Didn't give it a lot of thought. It's the name of the category of angels called "The Watchers." Which I do a lot of. Thoughtfully.

I have this bumper sticker on my Red Solara Convertible as an expression of my fandom. I tried to get a licence plate reading NX-01 but someone already has it in New York. I'm contemplating one that says ST NX-01. No Star Trek tattoos, just one regular one, although I'm not above getting one.

I don't understand tattoos either. But I'm female. But my sisters have one. I don't care if others have them; I was just curious--you never know what's out there!

The only thing ST I have other than the Enterprise DVDs is an NX-01 mousepad. It's the cat's meow.

I have a Star Trek mug with that logo as well as three others. One with the Mirror Enterprise with the cross swords at the bottom. The Columbia NX-02, Cold Station 12.
