You know, I've always wondered why Tarkin and Vader didn't do it this way!

Ahaha,

but then again, you can make those for every film. I mean, Federation has time travel technology, or at least some method of relative-praecision time warp, solves about every problem.

yeah, but that was funny!

Why didn't they just blow up Yavin and then the moon behind it?

Come to think of it, why didn't Leia just transmit the plans or stop on a planet until they found the beacon Vader hid on it. (I nominate Naboo!  That'll get JarJar for sure!;)

Because the more popular a film is, the more absurd plot holes it has? Popular films target the public at large, and the public at large cares for special effects, and not a sensible plot.

Come on.. Yoda sending Obi Wan to go to Vader, even though it was already established that Vader was stronger than either Sidious or Yoda, probably both at the same time. And Obi Wan still winning? BUT OH, HE HAD THE HIGH GROUND???

Or none of those two in that entire epic fighting using a force push once in a moment that would surely plunge the other party into the lava?

Or the fact that light sabres cut through human flesh and bone sans any resistance omnidirectionally? what stopped both Windu and Obi Wan from simply dropping their lightsabre on the other party, it could have saved the galaxy twice, instead of lifting it up..?

It's the tip of the iceberg.
