i am sorry i failed to see any points made by you. ?All you really seem to have done is attack people who don't agree with you ignore any dissenting information |
reading through this almost unreadable thread i find that romanlion has been more on point and less atacking than corwin8, also unions are not only great, they are needed... now when i say union, i mean union as an idea... there are unions that are run like shit, and some that are run well... so when i say that... dont throw some random union that was run like shit in my face... pro union and proud... there also needs to be less of a gap between the rich and poor... or there will be a revolution as romanlion has pointed out... peace |
About 90% of what kosh (RL to you) has been saying are personal attacks against Corwin and me for not agreeing with something he has said. Note insulting an opponent in a debate is not a valid debating tactic. He has never said how anything obama has proposed will be better than what we have only saying it will be like the European models which it won't be it just seems more like medicare for all which will be the same dam thing we have now just another middle man between us and the doctors. He has never said how the government option will reduce cost all he has been given is an emotional based argument because he claims to have been screwed over by a former employer and the insurance companies and to prove it he provide various case studies about how the insurance companies deny coverage to people. And then when we bring up similar examples in the Socialize medicine of Europe he ignores it. He throws left wing blogs as undeniable fact but ignores right wing blogs as unreliable, and worse has wished someone would die merely for disagreeing with him. Unions may have been needed but now days they seem more interested in protecting senior employees rather than good employees.

Yes, Corky, EXACTLY. We have the European models. They all work better than ours. People live longer, less babies die, they spend less... every possible measure of quality, they beat the pants off of us EXACTLY THE POINT. | Quote | | He throws left wing blogs as undeniable fact but ignores right wing blogs as unreliable, and worse has wished someone would die merely for disagreeing with him. |
Uh, no, guy. I never "hoped" you would die, although mandetory sterilization to protect the gene pool might be a good idea. I just found it insulting that you mocked suicide victims in a stupid attempt to make an idiotic point. My cousin killed herself, leaving four kids without a mother. Nothing funny there at all. | Quote | | Unions may have been needed but now days they seem more interested in protecting senior employees rather than good employees. |
That works on the assumption that management is capable of telling who the good employees are. Sorry, I'm on my sixth post-military job, and I haven't seen it yet. I'm 47. I've been working since I was 16. I can honestly say that I've had more work experience than you've had LIFE experience. What I've seen. A good employee fired because she was a lesbian. Several good employees fired because they racked up too many medical bills. A whole branch systematically LIED to about the companies plans for year as they planned to relocate their jobs. Bosses who've sexually harrassed employees. Bosses who've promoted people based on sleeping with them. And those are only the obnoxious examples. ¿I won't even go into the day-to-day stupid that occurs in most offices, and has only enriched Scott Adams (the guy who write the Dilbert Strip). Do I think Unions are perfect? No. In fact, as I pointed out in a previous post (you know, one with big words you probably didn't understand) they've really lost their way, which is why they are in the mess they are in. But they are a counterbalancing force. All life is checks and balances... Sadly we stopped putting checks on corporate greed in the Bush years, and if you look at the economy, you can see how well that turned out.

| Quote | | You know why? Because the European system WORKS. The most right wing, turn the Turks into Lampshades Nazi scumwad in Europe would not suggest dismantling their socialized system of medicine in favor of one that lets people die so a few jerks can make a profit. Thatcher, Merkel, Sarkosy- they all know their systems work. |
It isn't that their systems work it is they have become a political third rail like social security (which is broken both parties have mentioned it but take it back when the other party has ideas on how to fix it). And yes the European system works for basic health care and emergency cases but for chronic illnesses that don't have an immediate risk of death they really suck. | Quote | Uh, no, guy. I don't think that was an exact quote... in fact I don't even think that was close, but I don't have time to go back and look. Of course, you were the MORON who tried to claim that suicides were the reason our life expectency was lower than everyone elses... and you kept making this idiotic claim even after I posted data showing some countries have HIGHER suicide rates than we do and still have a higher life expectency... Facts you ignore because you're a 'tard.

| Quote (Corwin8 @ Sep. 10 2009, 8:11 am) | So does the beer get the taste of ASS out of your mouth, after spending all day kissing it? ?
Because honestly, I don't believe you are nearly as successful as you like to claim you are. Otherwise, you wouldn't be bellying up to the Government Trough while denoucing your trailer-trash friends...
If you were actually successful, I would almost respect your position, greedy and selfish as it is... Sadly it seems to me you aren't middle class, you are confused poor.[/quote] See this is the best part.
You either don't get it or you are trying to be clever.
I am sorry you may not be aware of how well to do the North Shore in my state is.
Or the fact that the evil rich folks would have guys like you and I stopped at the town line. Sarcasm. Either you get it or you don't.
If you want to think I'm not successful be my guest. At least I have the satifaction of knowing you are wrong. Keep trying to paint me any way you want Corky. I know in the end you will still be beyond wrong. Were I insecure about my job this is the part where I'd prattle on about how well i served my corporate overlords only to have them screw me out of something I should be entitled to. ¿Not likely to happen Sparky.
Thanks for confirming the fact that you will continue to use tired and lame attacks about how, as a taxpayer I'm looting the very system I have to support by force. |
See, whine, snivel cry about the government all the time, while kissing the ass of the real enemy, Corporate Greed. Take a look at the economic mess we are in. It isn't because of government, it's because we did EVERYTHING the supply siders said. We gave big tax breaks to the rich, we signed free trade treaties with every third world shithole on the planet, we took of the regulations and let them turn our economy into a casino... And now we have to suffer the consequences.... But you're the only one who want to let the drunken teenager keep driving the car after he's wrecked it twice.

No, you see, it's a moral problem. Government is bad because it makes mistakes. Until we finally have government by computer, we will have mistakes because humans are fallable, but the intent is the right one- doing right by the people who elected you! The Corproate Model, which I'm sorry, I'm not seeing you have a TENTH of the outrage you express towards bureaucrats and "welfare queens" and "lollipops' is about one thing- Making huge amounts of money for the guy controlling it. Cheat the customer, cheat the vendor, cheat the stockholder, cheat the employee, so long as we get our seven figure salary, we've WON! I've got mine, screw you. And if you train wreck the system, have the absolute gall to insist on your retention bonus! Now, me, I'm angry at this system, not just because of the damage it has caused, but because of the damage it is going to cause. We are heading towards a catastrophe, where we have a society of only the poor and rich, which is usually followed by social upheavel. The kind that creates Hitlers and Stalins and Ayatollah Khomeneis. Obama is probably our last chance to stop it... after that, the abysss... But you will get all upset because MAYBE you'll have to spend 3-4% more in taxes to fix our most glaring hole... health care. | Quote | But you're the only one who want to let the drunken teenager keep driving the car after he's wrecked it twice. Uh, no... but nice try. Personally, I'd like to see the Fortune 500 CEO"s frog-marched in front of grand juries of kangaroo courts and sent to hard time in big boy prison. But the government didn't wreck this system. Capitalists did.
