Pretty easy...the bits you see up on "top" are the remains of the dorsal...

The hole in the side could well be where a docking port blew out from inside...

:logical:

"the remains of the dorsal".......I'll assume you mean the neck arm that leads to the saucer section???

If so it seems misplaced.

And as for the hole.....I can see that.

Maybe if the whole scene is viewed it will be easier to see the remains. It is hard to judge with only a single picture frame.

What you call the "neck arm" is commonly referred to as the dorsal hull or just dorsal.

It's pretty much where it should be, especially from that angle.

Apparently it was either twisted or bent when it was wrecked.

:logical:

Well thats a reasonable explanation.

Still looks a bit off to me but it could be the angle as you suggested..

I think you reversed the pic while flipping it, Rad...

The wrecked dorsal is facing the wrong way now.

:logical:

I just flipped it to where it was oriented so we can make a better comparison by having the windows in the same general direction in both the wreckage and the model pic.   :logical:  :logical:

Just redo the episode, "Spocks Brain". Angalina Jolie could play the alien who steels Spocks brain.
