X-Wing uses lasers for weapons, which Federations shields are practically immune to, so i assume Klingon shields would be immune too

Oh god not this stupid argument again. Fist of all x-wings do not use lasers as the weapons fire does not follow any properties of a laser it moves slower than light, we can see it in space. and it is a bolt not a continuous beam. Second you base that whole thing about on one episode of TNG which is contradicted by several episodes. And why does everyone forget about the torpedoes. I am not sure how powerful they are and i am not aware of any calculations, but the concussion missiles that are on the Slave I are about 190 MT and I am sure the proton torpedoes are close to that. Even so i am giving this fight to the BOP as one fighter craft wouldn't stand a chance against a corvette size capital ship even if the shields and weapons are comparable. The X-wing more than likely cant do damage fast enough to kill the BOP even if they gunners suck they only need to get lucky once or twice where as the fighter will need to hit with all of its torpedoes. |

when did the Enterprise-D shields get damaged by lasers? Don't give me that stupid borg cutting laser crap, the D's shield were down when that happened. |

There are two "the Survivors where a 400 GW blast takes down the enterprise-D shields.
Then another episodes where two sides of a war are using lasers and Picard refuses to take the Enterprise there saying he doesn't want to put his ship at risk if the enterprise was immune to laser why would he say that?
The argument is flawed in the fact that is says regardless of the laser's strength even if the lasers out put is higher than the shield strength. As to the borg didn't the cutting laser take out the shields?
