Unfortunately, it was episodes like this that made me quit watching DS9 in it's first run.

Then you should give it another shot. DS9's first season isn't nearly as bad as TNG's first season...and I say that with love!

The concept was cool, but the Wadi (sp?) ruined it. They were over the top and annoying.

I did give it another chance and have all the episodes on DVD and now it is my favorite Star Trek series. And looking back DS9 did have a better 1st season than TNG. But, you have to admit Move Along Home was not very good. I was just saying that back when it was first on the air I quit watching because the first season didn't grab me.

Hey, don't sweat it. None of the episodes from Season 1 or 2 really grabbed me either. I mean, I remember liking "Emissary" and "Blood Oath" and ... well, that was it. And I quit watching shortly before the end of Season 2. Now that I've seen the series in its entirety (I gave it another shot about 7 years back) and have a real connection to the various characters? I find myself really enjoying some of these earlier episodes. Including "Move Along Home."

Now here's something I don't quite "get". I'm willing to suspend disbelief on it a little bit, but it's still kind of weird. Odo and Quark are able to deduce, from nothing more than that there are four officers missing and four pieces on the game board, that those represent Sisko etc. FOUR. No other evidence but that. Go figure.

And Quark figured it out a few seconds before Odo-I was thinking "He's quick!"

Yeah imagine if you were playing a game of Monopoly or something and your friends went out for fish and chips -- and then someone came in and said, "Oh. Where's Bill and Terry and Bob and Jo?" and if there were four pieces on the Monopoly board, you could say -- "Right there."
