I have to say Kirk,Spock and McCoy was the best of all. All three of them are the best of friends and are even consered each one as brothers. Remmber what Kirk said in "The Final Fronter" to Spock, "I lost a brother once, I was lucky to get him back" (Kirk) "I thought you said men like us don't have families?" (McCoy) "I was wrong" (Kirk). And what about that part in the earlier in the movie Kirk said he knew he wouldn't die alone as long as Spock and McCoy was around, its like knew as long as they were there, he wouldn't be alone. And he was right, because we know that each one them always helped out each other no mater if was good or bad, and even when they were in trouble they were there. Thats what I call good friendship!:logical: :rookie:

Although that having been said, Paris does seem kind of in love with himself at times.

Spock, Kirk and McCoy most definitely are the best Star Trek friendship overall.

Archer and Trip

TRIP:I'm only kidding. You look nice like this. Kind of like an old oil painting. T'POL:I'm not old. I will only be sixty six years old on my next birthday. TRIP:I can't believe you told me that. T'POL:You accused me of looking old. TRIP:That's not what I mean. I've been trying to get you to tell me your age since we left Spacedock. Why now? T'POL:To Vulcans, certain information is considered intimate. TRIP:Intimate?

Bashir and O'Brien were by far the best-written and best-developed friends. You can select a half-dozen ep's that illustrate the incredible arc of their friendship beautifully.

But that Kirk-Spock-McCoy thing was classic. Untouchable.

I admired the way ENT paid it homage with its own version of the dynamic and complex Archer-Tucker-then T'Pol-insinuates-herself trio. Archer and T'Pol were a fantastic foil for Kirk/Spock--not at all a copy, but a similar depth and significance.

I'm a huge fan of Trek precisely because it has so many examples--in the most classical tradition--of platonic friendships: it gives them the due they deserve, and is more true-to-life than couple-of-the-week stories. Trek gave us complex and organic relationships to sink our teeth into.

Well...I'm here

This is the easiest Question ever. Bashir - O'Brien! They have a REAL friendship... I know people love the Kirk-Spock-Bones thing but that friendship was nothing compared to the Bashir - O'Brien one. I think it's because out of all the series I think DS9 has the most DRAMA!

I hate how these questions just revert into a game of "I'm picking the choice from my favorite series" with no REAL consideration for the question.

That being said, I've watched a LOT of Star Trek, and the Kirk / Spock brotherhood was FAR beyond anything that followed in the later series. Often imitated, never duplicated.

I AM KEE-ROCK!!

Kirk, Spock, and Bones definitely had the deepest friendship of all the Star Trek characters - the three of them were better together than they were apart; body, mind, and spirit.

That being said, I'd rank Data and Geordi a very close second - a blind man and an android helping each other to learn the lessons of life and humanity. That was a cool dynamic to begin with.
