When you're watching a movie with Dean Jones in it and all of a sudden catch yourself thinking, "Man, he looks a heck of a lot like Scott Bakula/Archer."

You know you're a Trekkie if:

1) You turn down a scholarship to University and tell your parents you want to enlist in Starfleet.

2) You have ever referenced Star Trek in a real-life situation, ("Oh, that's like that time in Star Trek when "X" happened...")

3) You take it as a personal insult when somebody says they prefer Star Wars.

How about you actually understand the technobabble?

... If, when you first saw TOS at age thirteen, you made it your goal to learn how to raise your eyebrow like Spock... AND succeeded.

You're a Trekkie if...

your mom knows what's on your Christmas list before you do (which in this case is Star Trek Voyager), and she turns out to be right.

You have several Star Trek books and you love reading them.

You try to compare everything in real life to a Star Trek event.

"Magic Carpet Ride" by Steppenwolf makes you think of Zephram Cochrane.

You look at Hawaiian shirts and can't help but think how good they would look on Tom Paris

OR

You correct Sisko's error in "Take Me Out To The Holosuite" WITHOUT looking at Memory Alpha ("How are we going to beat the Vulcans? They're faster and stronger than us, except for Worf and our genetically enhanced doctor." You think, "No, Julian's genetic engineering had to do with mental abilites, mostly, but his parents also improved his vision, hand-eye coordination, and his reflexes as well.").

'Impossible' is a word that humans use far too often.

You're a Trekkie If...

While playing with a tanagram set (did I spell it right?) you make a ST ship

You are a member of the Official Star Trek Forums website

You actually believe that there is such a thing as the Vulcan Nerve Pinch (there was a kid in school that actually believed it was possible to do that

Actually, I think the Vulcan Nerve pinch is (at least theoretically) possible in real life, because there IS a nerve point on the back of your neck, and if you squeeze that and/or the carotid artery, you get a buzzy feeling in your head.

And you're a Trekkie if you bothered to figure that out.
