Star Trek

when you do algebra or geometry or math with letters you use thease following letters:

TOS,TNG,VOY,DSN,TAS,ENT.

for example: triangle TOS is congruent to triangle TNG.

...you want to be.

These have all happened to me...

#1. When you recognize Star Trek actors in disguise in totally non-science-ficiton movies and instantly know who they are and shout out their Star Trek name, while everyone around you is calling you crazy. ( for me it was leonard nimoys voice in transformers... i shouted out "spock" as soon as I heard it !) 

#2. When you are ahead in science class when the teacher brings up terms such as "parsecs", "gamma rays", "neutron stars", and "wormholes", as you replay all the specific scenes inside your head during class. 

#3. Your nickname turns into a Star Trek characters name around your friends

You definitely don't confuse Star Trek with Star Wars.

You wonder if your favorite Trek crew ever watches Star Wars just so they can laugh at how pathetic it is.

(I like Star Wars, but it's just a fun, mindless action flick. Trek is actually pretty intelligent, often with a deeper meaning.)

You insist everyone call you commander.

You have a bumper sticker on your car that says that your other vehicle is a shuttle craft.

You keep up on the latest changes to the Star Trek uniforms.

You remodel your apartment so it looks like the bridge of the Enterprise.

For your vacation you want to go into outer space.

for me is was during X -Men when I shouted Captin Picard

when your friend/peron siting next to you say "I want to be a nerd" and you say to them "you can be a nerd once you learn klingon"

In art class when you're doing a self portait you always add  vulcan ears

Every time you get in an elevator you say, "Bridge."

You're a Trekkie if, while watching Lord of the Rings for the first time, you keep giggling "Dr. McCoy!" every time Karl Urban appears on the screen.

If you watch any of the Star Trek series, go to Star Trek conventions, do fanart of your favorite Star Trek character, collect Star Trek items, wear  a Star Trek shirt and cosplay.

If you realize that Riker and Mirror Spock have the same beard.

Can you kind of see what I mean?

you quote ferengi rules of acquisition to defend your less moral decisions

you know every word of the poem "ode to spot" and you've recited it to your cat

you exclaim "Kaplah!" after you've finished completing a task

you can't hear the song magic carpet ride on the radio without thinking of zephram cochran making first contact

your skyrim character is an argonian named gorn

you ever got beat up after unsuccessfully attempting a vulcan neck pinch

you ever had a girl paint herself green for you in the bedroom

you understand the plan before they give you the easy to understand analogy

your kingdom hearts gummi ship looks suspiciously like the enterprise

you sat through an entire episode of icarly waiting for the principal to say anything even remotely vulcan sounding (he didnt)

1. Ever since you watched the original series you stand with your hands behind your back and say illogical at things most people say.

2. You buy Spock ears and wear them every day (even to school) and do the Vulcan salute saying 'live long and prosper' when entering and leaving any room.

3. You sobbed and sobbed in the shower after watching the last of TOS episodes.

4. You believe you can connect with people's minds if you put your hands on their face.
