Trolls got to love them especially in enterprise when they put on a why Enterprise sucked theme all the time, or in yahoo answers when you have 100 people ask the same stupid question about 2012.

Oh gawd even Q was awful in that episode~!! :whatthe:

He was, but he was right. Also, look at Gene's quotes

"I believe in humanity. We are an incredible species. We're still just a child creature, we're still being nasty to each other. And all children go through those phases. We're growing up, we're moving into adolescence now. When we grow up ? man, we're going to be something!"

"I have nothing but admiration for this silly race of ours. Even with the Hitlers in it and so on. Sometimes it goes into ugliness, but, in all though, it is a beauty. It's like a rose, which also has thorns. We're something."

And more of that shit.

I'd call humanity a savage, savage animal. Just like all animals on the planet, what makes humanity worse is that they have a shitload of praetence that they aren't. Calling themselves a species of rational things, my arse, they're a savage bunch of instinct driven mammals like any other. They need a good dose of Kolinahr.

I like Gene's vision, it's my own to pretty much.

A lot of humans our savage, a few our not, it's a slow process.

We will survive to evolve and keep on going.

How about this load of controversy.  The only reason why Weyoun had clones of himself was because they screwed up when they killed him off originally and decided they didn't want his character to die after all.  (I'm completely making this up.)

Back on topic. Is DS9 a guy show? I do not think that it started that way, but it could be.[/quote]
There are some definite "guy" episodes, but I think there are some definite "gal" episodes as well.

NO! DeepSpace9 was my favorite series, followed by Voyager. DS9 had some of the best episodes. My personal faves are
1) Badda-Bing-Badda-Bag
2) It's Only A Paper Moon
3) His Way
4) Our Man Bashir
5) Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges
and many many many more.

You know I thought Vick was goofy, I thought more on the War would have been better.

Actually I think that might be true.

The writers wanted the Dominion to be more than this massive, semi-morphous thing, and for that they needed some definite bad guys to whom people could relate.

They decided that Weyoun was a pretty cool character (which he was) and that's why they dreamed up a way to bring him back from the dead, so to speak. Like Garak, he was originally a once-off character.

That this then led to some great story potential (see Treachery Faith and the Great River) and funny clone gags ( "Maybe you should talk to Worf again" ) was a terrific side effect of that decision.

The Dominion War was great. However...

Whether with Vic or not, breaking it up with a few stories of a different tone was a good idea, IMO.
