would u like the federation to become conquerers in a new series?
(ie. bad guys)

we'll they are obviously trying to attract a new type of fan (ie star wars types) who like that kind of darker twist |

i wouldn't mind a view of the federation that was a little less perfect, but to turn them into bad guys is all wrong. star trek is supposed to be fun. |

yeah, but wat if they wernt evil then, but eliminated risks b4 they even did any thing wrong, and some branchs did things that some characters didnt approve of. ie a preventative strike against the dominion b4 they even knew the federation existed etc |

no. We have the mirror universe for that kind of idea. I just like the fact that in the new trek verse the federation is more militaristic and darker.

What does "Federation as conquerors" have to do with that final option about "DS9 style?"
The Federation did everything in their power to avoid a war with the Dominion ... until Weyoun basically told Sisko the Founders wanted complete control over the wormhole. Then the Federation became defenders of the Alpha Quadrant.
Now please understand I absolutely dug all of the "space battle" action in DS9. But the Federation employing Starfleet as an armada of conquerors? No freakin' way.

The federation would need more power ground forces and there weapons would need to be several times more powerful.

They've already done this, it's called the mirror universe. But yes I would like to see more of this, maybe for a third or fourth movie.

Conquers no, but I do wish they would become a bit more realistic on how they reacted to enemies at times.
Someone would attack them and they would take so long to react and react in such a wishy washy way they just invited themselves to get their butts smacked.
