God I hate DC continuity. There's very little I like about DC at the moment. Everything that's been good has been taken, beaten to death or given a good anal rape by Grant Morrison.

How have I never heard of this show? When did it air?

DC continuity is so damm confusing, which is why I mainly stick to marvel, though I have been hearing that the Green Lantern wars are pretty good.

Marvel certainly has it's problems, as they seem to be falling into the trap of letting the writers do whatever they feel like as long as "makes a good story". Marvel has always had pride in keeping it's continuity straight, but lately it's been write first and we'll figure out the details later.

They had a wierd fetish for putting "Young", "Dark", or "New" in front of everything they title though.

But at least they don't feel the need to reboot their continuity every few years.

October 2002 to February 2003, 13 episodes.

:logical:

So, does this prove that men are not pigs?

I take this show had three hot women dressed in tight clothing, and it still did not get enough ratings?

:p

What's up my friend!

Your's is one of the adresses I lost because I cannot access my old account.

Apparantly, they are coming out with a Captain America DVD-Rom, and I was going to share it with the comic book club.

Supposedly, the next one is Hulk.

I am such an idiot to leave all that info here.

But to your original statement, from what I heard, BMB and Quesada are like best buddies, and whatever idea BMB has, the rest of mainstream Marvel has to follow.

Heather told me that Surfchannel.com has a ton of episodes from all of tv.

When I get time, I will have to check it out.

Not much, still grinding with the comics. Playing a lot of City of Heroes at the moment when I'm not working or spending time with the kids.

I'll PM you if you want with my address.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that Bendis is Quesada's golden boy. But then, without him, Marvel doesn't have much. Bendis' arrogance shows in interviews, it's sort of annoying.

I heard a lot of people hated Shooter's arrogance as well.

He sold his first story at 14, which is a great accomplishment, but that apparantly went straight his ego, and I used to talk to Paul Ryan (penciller) and many thought that his physical precence was intimidating. Think he is like 6'7" or so.

RSC, you still playing COH?!?!? I used to love that game, but I am so far behind the times, I am not sure what has changed.

If you ever see a healer called Band-Aid Man, give me a holler!!!

I actually played with Shree a couple of times, for those of you who remember her, before she was chase off the boards.

Well, I won't comment on Shree....

Anyway, it made me sad to see that Paul Ryan was selling his artwork on Ebay a few years ago. It seems that drawing comics and working hard for a company doesn't seem to matter.

Is that why so many die early? Is the stress that terrible and the pay that bad?

In the past two years, we have lost so many...

But the writers seem to live forever, well now it makes me think of Mark Gruenwald, who was totally loved at marvel, yet he had an early passing.

I take it the guys running Marvel now are worse than Jim Shooter used to be?

Shooter was a great writer for DC, wrote a lot of issues of Legion of Super Heroes, then went to marvel and ended up EIC...and became universally hated.

:logical:

I always thought Quesada was an overrated hack. Even back when he was an artist. He feels no need to complete anything by deadlines. He comes off as very arrogant in his interviews, even trying to claim credit for getting Marvel back into black after it's bankruptcy. I give more credit to Avi Arad, whose a stronger driving force behind Marvel onscreen projects. It's the movies that got Marvel back on track not the books themselves. He also has very little regard for the X-Men books in particular (and Gambit in particular), after cancelling some of the better selling books and replacing them with absolute garbage. Right now, Quesada would have nothing going for Marvel if he wasn't so cozy with Bendis.

Marvel does seem to have a long running history of having unpopular EICs though.

Yeah, I just got back into the game. A lot has changed if you haven't played recently. They have a new crafting system, the Archetect system is pretty cool as you can now create and publish stories of your own. They also have "day jobs", in which certain locations give you bonuses when you log out there for a certain amount of time. The graphics are starting to become dated however.

I'm seriously considering playing Champions Online when it comes out this fall. It's engine was built by Cryptic, the same guys who built the engine for CoH, but the graphics are by far better. However, the content seems watered down compared to CoH, and the top out is lvl 40...so I'm not sure.

Band-Aid Man seems familiar, do you play on Triumph? My global handle is War-Child, named after my first character. If you get back in look me up.

It's too bad they didn't do the show now because it mught have lasted a little longer. The only problems that I had that the stories were to slow, and the whole thing with Barbara Gordon - Why the hell did the writers make her crippled?

This graphic novel was most likely the inspiration for the crippled Barbara Gordon:

The Joker shot and paralyzed Barbara Gordon (and there is implication that he may have even raped her)...in the "Birds Of Prey" series, Gordon is crippled after being shot by The Joker.

Draw your own conclusions.

:logical:

Excellent issue. I have a hard cover reprint.
