Think about what you just said for a minute. You're surprised the media - The guys who got Obama elected - won't report a misuse of government money.

Ummm...perhaps you should delve into the details a little more closely before you post something like this. The $1.191 million figure cited was for 760,000 pounds of ham, not two. That works out to around $1.50 per pound. The "two pounds" refers to the size of the packaging, and the food was purchased for food banks and soup kitchens...

Just goes to show people believe what they wish and twist the truth to serve their ends. Good Job!

Just goes to show the government can't create a clear website and that they still paid too much. Glad to see it addressed. Where is the truth twisted? The page is unclear at best. It's their website, nothing twisted at all.

$1.57 per pound is still a little high for a 760,000 pound order- depending on the quality.

So they make an unclear website then tell us don't worry we are only buying ham at around twice the rate why does this not make me feel better about it?

Talk about pork spending...
Bah dum bum...
Sorry, couldn't resist.
But seriously, this should just go to prove that the government can't be trusted to spend your money at all wisely. Imagine how much more they could have fed, if they spent a bit more thriftly.

I was reffering to the topic, not the website. Although I do appriciate you pointing out a poorly done web site.
