Daedalus "Quad"

Interchangeable hulls, nacelles, etc. depending on ships mission.

These two are quads (meaning four nacelle) warp 5.8 capable. Tristars (three nacelles) are warp 4 capable. The top Daedalus class has the extra hull with warp bubble extension arrays used for towing at warp (large cargo holds, small space stations or modular sections of larger space stations) at a lower warp (3.2).

Transporters are generally for non organic cargo and require platforms at both sending and receiving sites. Shuttle crews land and assemble the transporter pad to transport cargo and supplies for exploration, survey, or colonization.

Due to hostilities in the Romulan border sectors, merchant ships travel in Starfleet escorted convoys.

A era of ST when treks were one way.

Just out of sleeper ships era...

Colony convoys.

Unmanned warp field (bubble) generator that a convoy would fly behind (umbrella effect) before generator would explode as intermix barriers deteriorated (not perfected until later generations so too dangerous to have on a manned vessel)... then impulse travel from then on... this would also explain how impulse ships got so far out into the galaxy

TOS originally put WW III at about 1996-2012.

Didn't happen here in real life... but ST isn't real life.

Call it another timeline, only this is true to that original (TOS) timeline.

Cochrane was not a loveable old fart, but a brilliant research scientist who once made weapons of mass destruction for the so called government "in the right..."

The first warpship was not manned and blew apart twenty seconds into warp... near waiting chase ships that took months to arive at the testing grounds.

Planet Mercury where most of the antimatter containment experiments took place was shattered into a debris field when the project alpha disaster occurred.

Terra forming was big in those days since so much of the galaxy was unreachable. Mars station alone showed promise to nearly double the land mass of Terran holdings in a hundred years' time. Space stations dotted the heavens along the various routes to Alpha Centauri (Centauri Prime)... a 9 year journey at full impulse. Many were born in space.

Where are you getting your info from??

:logical:

TOS scripts.

Orbital satellites in the 1990's etc. Google it from the scripts.

If they really wanted to do a prequel from the original timeline... this would be the way it happened.
