..is on!

How I love that movie....

Whenever we go camping up in Yorkshire we never tire of saying...

'Don't go onto the moors! Stick to the roads!'..in a broad yorkshire accent...

Sad eh?

:p

I don't like large natural bodies of water either. Too many unknown quantities.

Ah Huntly, that's a lot further north than where I am, hopefully you'll get the weather for camping.
Good luck.

I was there in May of 2008. Absolutely beautiful place. I'd have not the slightest worry sleeping overnight at the shore. Except for one thing... it's bloody freezing.

The magic in Scotland isn't some imaginary creature. Rather, the magic is in the people. Twenty minutes after I arrived by train in Edinburgh, as I was taking a bus towards what I hoped would be my bed & breakfast, three locals spontaneously decided to make sure I got where I needed to be. Every encounter I had in Scotland was like that.

The only worry I had while I was there was the industrial-strength toaster in the B&B's dining room. That machine had it out for me. I'd made the mistake of settling myself at the table in its line of fire, and it did its level best to lob searing rations of toast in my direction at every opportunity. A Yorkshire couple across the way took great amusement at the nervous looks I frequently gave the fiendish mechanism.
