Watch our recruitment video!

From the utopian society that is the Federation circa the late 24th Century, suspended in an idilic time of peace and prosperity for all of the species of the Alpha Quadrant......the 23rd Century is remembered as a time of bold explorers and brave pioneers - ?seeking out strange new worlds and roping them together with only gut-instinct and cowboy diplomacy as their guides, in an effort to bring about the dreams of great minds like Cochrane and Archer who had come before them. A time of Kirk, Pike and the other legendary greats - working together to forge the beginnings of the Federation as it is known today.

Unfortunately, that's just the nice way of looking at it.

'Back in the day', during the 2260's (whilst Captain Kirk was still on his original mission of exploration), the USS Intrepid was one of the famous Constitution-class starships charged with expanding the Federation and mapping out the final frontier. Twenty-one years later, and things have changed somewhat.

It is now 2286 - and the Intrepid has been relegated to the duties of a cadet training cruiser. Intrepid is notorious as a toxic dump for all of the trainees with the worst track records at the Academy, so that the Admiralty don't have to deal with them personally. It's motley crew are a group of veteran officers that are almost all counting down the years until they get to retire - including an egomaniac Romulan captain named Xon, an angry Betazoid that has been expelled from his own house, and a Doctor who seriously would rather be somewhere else.

The Federation is greatly different now to how everyone remembers it - an alarming amount of red tape allows certain members of the Admiralty to play their own little games with the fleet in their free time, whilst officers are brought up through the academy as unintuitive soldier-types rather than being encouraged to think on their feet.
The long so-called 'cold-war' with the Klingons has also been warming up a little recently, with border skirmishes and a huge standoff that almost broke into open conflict.

Returning from this affair, the Intrepid - having exposed a conspiracy within Starfleet and rescued their crew from a band of ruthless mercenaries, against orders - is returning to Earth, it's crew hailed as heroes.

However, heroes or no, the crew of the Intrepid is still in the bad books of several noted Admirals. And nothing is going to get in the way of the new batch of cadets that will be waiting for the ship as soon as it hits dry-dock.........

WE NEED CADETS!

If you've read all that and you're still interested, please get in contact with us! The Intrepid is a RPG that has been going for four years now, and for three and half of those years it has been set in the 2280's as a cadet training cruiser.

Whilst we have very little room in our senior staff family, we need a small army of trainees to replace those who are 'graduating' to officer status over the course of this summer.

If you want to sign up, or just have a look around, then follow the link below.

And now i'll be relying on the rest of my valiant crew to post below and win you over. :D

Signed, your loving and benevolent captain -

Xon

All right then, I'll sign up if I can! I do have a question, though, if I can't make it to one of the missions, or I have to leave in th emiddle of one, will I be expelled? (I'm only 14 and my parents sometimes make me get off suddenly)
