Except it isn't remember the Cube at wolf 359 had the advantage of Locutus of Borg feeding the borg tactial information on the Federation fleet. And Voyager we see that the Borg are far less powerful as we have a TACTICAL Cube repeatably shot at Voyager and not do any real damage to Voyager. And we clearly see a federation fleet damaging a Borg Cube in first contact. But the Borg were still a force to be dealt with even without Locutus.
Yes they were but as first contact proves if you hit the borg with enough firepower you can over come the adaptation.

So you are starting to turn this into that damn tommygun scene now. First Contact, though one of the best of the movies, clearly stated some things about the borg that contradict what was seen of them on TV. Many of which were brought back into line on Voyager.

All you have said about Voyager is that they say something about proving that the Borg intended to go to the past

Which is correct, in two episodes they indicate that the borg had planed on going to the past all along. but what the hell does that have to do with weapon adaptation?

I don't know you say that Voyager disproves the point of First Contact showing that if you throw enough firepower at the borg you can over come adaptation.

yes they do. I can name at least three different episodes, asside from BOBW, that back this up. The first one is Unimatrix Zero, both parts, then we have Dark Frontier, and finally Drone.

If you are looking for that then BOBW and Emesary already proved that with the battle of Wolf 359, otherwise you just have to watch and figure it out for yourself.

Except they didn't as during wolf 359 the borg had Picard giving them tactical information on the Starfleet fleet not to mention in Wolf 359 Starfleet weapons were less powerful and the ships were more science oriented. However you also said Voyager disproves the assertion that First Contact shows that Borg adaptation can be over come with enough firepower.

Couldn't a few Borg board the Death Star and assimilate the Emporer and/or Darth Vader, making the leaders of the Empire part of the Borg Collective? The Stormtroopers do need orders, and with Vader and the Emporer in no positiion to give them, would the troopers no what to do? Also, if the Emporer and/or Vader are assimilated, wouldn't they give the Borg tactical information about the Death Star?

In this case i would have to side with Wars, as i have long thought that technology based on Lightsabers is a way to go for a defence against the borg. I had even planned on going so far as to put it in a fanfic, but i never got it down in writing.

And by that time they had assimilated hundreds of Starfleet officers who would have had more knowledge on Federation Weapons then Picard ever did, and commanders more verse in Tactics then he was as well, yet it didn't help them there.

It's the writers fault.

though correct, that is considered an out of universe explanation for the situation, and will not be accepted by the bulk of the people on the boards.

Yes, but it is still the truth. But, for an in-universe explanation...it would take a lot. So, it still is the writers fault.
