DISCLAIMER:  This is not a bash republican thread.  Bashing with and should be ignored.

Can republicans care about the environment?  I ask this because the only way to truly protect our living sphere (Earth) requires that Governments mandate and dictate business practices.  Business will lose out.  Is it not a platform of the republican party to put business (capital) before environment and people?

First they need to be convinced not only that there is a problem, but that its worth making some sacrifices to fix it.

Seriously, convince them of a problem?  Is there some kind of anti-science going on in the republican party?  Seriously, I think most true republicans recognize the problem.  It is not some mythical thing.  It has more than enough scientific proof. More than we have for claiming the earth is round.

I think that is old news phantomcrunk.  I truly think republicans are smart enough to see the problem now a days.

... What is this biodanger there's more proof for than the Earth being round, then? How have I missed it?

Because I'm actually ignorant of the thing you claim and want my question answered. Could you just answer it, already?

Ignorance is not an excuse to flame a topic.

why do you want to point out what numerous universities across the world have backed up as a global warming problem? as well as a soil and water pollutant problem.  This is not new news.  Do you not have a library with academic journals?

Yes, but it doesn't seem that any of those things are shown to be true as much as, let alone more than, the fact that the Earth is round. The scientific community seems relatively divided on the global warming thing, and water and soil pollution is mostly under control, last I checked.

Your news is old.  Originally it was divided, then it became liek 60 true, 40 not, then more info and sciencetific proof made it more 70 and 30.  Lately its nearly 80 true and 20 questioning.  Most scientists will not even counter the claim because to much evidence has piled up to the truth of the global environment problems that they don't even argue against it, only how soon it will happen.

Could you link me to a source for that?

Could you do your own research?  It takes less than a hour to go to a university and look up the research.  We are high tech nowadays, you can use a computer correct?  It is very simple to find.  I would feel that I was doing you a disservice to provide you with research that is so easy to get.  In fact, I always have to provide you with the facts that are common sense (metaphorically speaking).  I think I have been babying you too long.  It's time you grew up and learned to do your own simple research.

Let me get one thing straight - I am a classical enviromentalist.  I recycle, I pick litter up, I buy recycled products, I do whatever I can to save animals in danger and I have donated a signifigant amount of time and money to saving animals and forest land.

That being said, I'm also an amature physicist, and global warming is a major hoax.

This is why I'm a classical enviromentalist and not a modern enviromentalist.  The enviromentalist movement has been taken over by wackos and politics.  I was recently barred from a fund raiser for a local no-kill shelter because I didn't support the junk science of global warming.
