Let's say you have a cat, dog, bird, bunny, etc... and you wanted to name that pet after your favorite Trek character. Me, for instance, I just adopted a cat today, and gave it the name "Captain Kirk." He seemed like a young cat that would have the enthusiasm, and judges his personality on instinct.
All right, let's hear your stories, and if you've ever had any pets, or have one that you named after Trek characters.

I was almost close to getting a cat named Jake once. We would have nicknamed it Sisko. I might like something like Odo or Worf for a pet. My brother named a cat Targ once (which is not a character but...)

Geordi is a cool name. Given my eyesight, I could foresee needing an assistance dog someday. Geordi the Guide Dog. Cool name. Neelix would make a good pet name, too. In the previous issue of Bark Magazine, the cover dog was named Mr. Tuvok!

That was my original thought of naming the cat, but thought that Captain Kirk would make him feel a bit more respected. Even tho Tiberius was Kirk's MIDDLE name, it still would've rung a bell.

I'm into horses. I think I'd name a horse Kobayashi Maru as a show name, with Kobay being the barn name.
Maybe a cat or a dog Dr. Phlox (Phlox for short).

Believe it or not, Marina Sirtis has a cat named Data - because he has yellow eyes! How cool is that?

I'll name my future fish in an aquarium after the TNG crew! LOL....
Haven't really thought of doing something like that as I really don't like animals... dogs, cats, etc. Not a big fan, ya know?

Jadzia would be a pretty name for a female pet. Or Keiko. OR if I get a particularly mischevious puppy, its gettin named 'Q'.
