Me either.

But, there is a general wariness of many of the liberal plans today. Not a dissatisfaction with a lack of results.

I personally am for a little of this, a little of that. some of this...

I agree that there is weariness, but we just came out of a pretty dark time in our history. 9-11 spooked a lot of people and that fear still lingers, mostly in the form of fear of the unknown.
The way i see it, we're so bad off right now, we have nothing to lose with trying something different.

Not weariness....

Wariness.

Yeah and i type "won" when i really want to type "one" and vice versa. Happens all the time. I also tend to add e's to the end of everything. I really have to catch myself.

I type too fast.

Generally,

Conservatives do well.

It's the GOP that sucks at getting any kind of unified message. Or anything anymore, really.

Liberals aren't doing a whole heck of a lot better. After the first 100 days the euphoria is wearing off they are having a tougher and tougher time getting their message across.

The problems we are facing are too big to solve in 100 days. Some on the left are expecting miricles but personally, i dont think it's realistic to see any longterm progress before 12 to 18 months.

This is true however I can't really tell if anything obama has done so far will have any long term benefits. ?The cap and trade bill will be an increase in doing business for all business. ?The Bush tax cuts will expire removing more money from the economy. ?The national debt is almost 40% of the GDP (that is very very bad).

He never said it wasn't gonna get wrose before it got better. People dont understand that they will have to make sacrifices. That is the problem with this country, no one is willing to make a sacrifice anymore.

No one wants to sacrifice for deleterious actions.

I've sacrificed plenty to raise children, but that was a great cause. I'm not going to sacrifice to bloat government payrolls with more idiots, crooks and liars, spin doctors and out and out scum.

It's not a perfect system, but it's the best we got. I would perfer to give it a shot than do nothing.

I have sacrificed all of my life.

I'm getting more than a little tired of sacrificing for an institution that is increasingly unworthy of my sacrifices- the Gov't.

Keep getting rid of the idiots and strive to put people of intelligence and good character in, replacing the idiots.

Power corrupts. Thats a sad fact. It goes for both parties, i will not deny that, but you gotta have SOME faith in the system. Even when bush was in office, i never thought he was a complete sell out. Maybe on the war and some other things, but there were times i actually saw some sincerity. Honestly if more people focused on those moments, we could actually get some stuff done in this country. The way it is now, everyone is suspicious of everything the government does.

The biggest problem is that the powers that be are steering this country toward another revolution and we are so factionalized that we would leave ourselves open to be conquered.

We tried a similar idea before it didn't work.  Why should i be excited about somthing that is a proven failure

Typical conservative reaction to facts.

It's a fact that only OLD people listen the radio?

Sorry, don't see any fact. Just generalization and aren't even remotely true. Yeah, you're just full of facts, Phantomdrunk.

Oh, I'm also not conservative...so that's two "facts" wrong.

Antiquated, not old. Big difference. And i was referring to the way they view the world, not their age. That and a lot of them listen to the radio cause they dont even know how to access other media.

Not true,

It's hard to watch streaming video when you're working on a car or in your shop or driving down the road.

The radio allows you to listen whilst you work (even in your nice cozy cubicle with a computer) and thats why people still listen. It's the most efficient delivery system that we still have.

And if it were only an antiquated means of delivery why is talk radio on satellite radio or streamed live on various shows websites? Why do they create podcast of these shows? Why are the shows host on twitter, mypsace and facebook?

Don't be so dismissive.

All the conservatives i know cant even use a computer.

I like how the guy who was going on about "having their facts straight" has now resorted to broad generalizations that aren't even remotely true. Good job, Phantomdrunk.  :eyesroll:

Let's all cut and paste books we haven't read!!

More trolling from the DrGojira the SPAMKING.

So which one are you?

Kevin?

Or the imaginary wife who's too busy to proofread her posts?

It's just helps with making out the scorecard.

The fact that you try to degrade me by claiming I am my husband is strictly a sexist attack from a loser. ¿You know #### well my name is Hitomi. ¿DrGojira knows I am not a fella, but when your precious logic is threatened you both result in personal attacks rather than debate because your sore losers. ¿

End of discussion for me on this topic. ¿If you want to get back on track feel free to debate and discuss the threads topic.

Let's take these one at a time, shall we?

As for being a loser? I'm posting on a Star Trek message board. So, hello pot, I'm kettle.
