Did anyone LIKE the new-look Engineering Section?

I'm not a big fan of it, but I still enjoyed the movie.

What I didn't like was the time spent on Scotty in the pipes. I feel that that time could have been used to further develop the story.

The scale was wrong, to factory looking. And did any one notice when the Capt. of the Kelvin took the elevator to the shuttle deck it went down. The shuttle deck is on the dorsal of the ship.

I have to admit I was not really pleased with engineering. I hope they do something different for XII.

It was the worst Engine room ever. The problem with dressing a brewery as an engine room is that it looks like a brewery dressed as an engine room.

If JJ Abrams must keep it he better dress it better next time, personally the new engineering should be similar to the Enterprise E Engine room, which had scale and was consistant with the rest of the ship.

Please JJ Abrams, please the fans next time not the mainstream who don't give a crap about Trek. Please.

Who am I to argue with the captain of the Enterprise?

Forget the engineering section - the whole bloody ship was made very ugly ... nacelles, support strut positions etc. When you have something as wonderful as either TOS version of the updated TMP version - why alter it and make it worse? They should have just done a more detailed version of the original series model.
