Oh, and speaking for myself, here's my list in order of preference:
1. ¿ST
2. ¿DS9
3. ¿TNG (a close second)
.
.
.
4. ¿VOY
5. ¿ENT
ENT is just #5 because I just haven't seen enough of it to judge. I should probably just leave it off my list.
But, VOY, though, it just seemed to me to be TNG all over again.

#1 - TOS and DS9 tied
I really struggle with this one. I grew up with TOS and think it's absolutely brilliant. Plus, none of the other Treks could have existed without it. But DS9 is arguably the better series. Anyway, too tough for me to call. (On these "check-the-box" polls? I vote for either TOS or DS9 as my favorite. Depending on my mood that day.)

I have heard conflicting things about it. ¿I have seen a few episodes and I didn't think it was that bad. ¿ I know this isn't the place, but I would be curious to know why you feel so strongly for it.
I actually enjoyed alot of what I have seen. |

Agreed.
Usually these things end up with DS9 the winner, TNG hot on its heels, and then a decent-sized gap where we find TOS and VOY in a pretty close race.
ENT is hardly ever a factor in these polls.
Anyway, like I posted above? Appears the new film has led to a greater appreciation of the "one that started it all."

I don't get that DS9 usually wins these things... its clearly the worst of all the Star Trek shows but for some reason there are a lot of DS9 fans on this message board fluffing the show. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone startrek.com. more to come... |

The question you should be asking is this: Why are there so many DS9 fans? Because DS9 is "clearly the worst of all the Star Trek shows?" Ha. Somehow, I doubt that. |

I'd say that your father's Trek is certainly still the best. I mean, yeah, I do like all five series equally, but I still always seem to want to turn back to TOS and TNG any chance I get.
The newer three series made over the past couple of decades were okay... I'm not saying that the newer series were bad, but they certainly lot a lot of the flair that Gene Roddenberry had put into it.
Imo, Rick Berman and Brannon Braga just didn't seem to give Trek the same personality that its original creator did.

I like them all. I used to dislike Enterprise, but now I've even got into that. TOS is my favorite though, followed by TNG... after that I'm not sure.

I've only seen TOS and TNG...
I don't think I could get into DS9 very well, since it all has a common base, but Voyager is great since they never go to the same place twice; Ent is vulgar, according to my dad, so I won't give it a chance.

DS9 fans are among the most critical of individual aspects of DS9 that I know~!! ===================================== As for the new Star Trek movie destroying humanity as we know it.... That theory went the way of Y2k. |
