My sister went to the Opera in London with Patrick Stewart and Joanna Lumley. It's part of her job to go overseas and scout for shows to bring to Australia. She is a massive trekkie too and was just blown away to be sitting with Patrick Stewart. We (the family) all said "Did you get his autograph?" and she said 'No, that would be bad form because it was a professional engagement." none of us have ever spoken to her again...joking, but I mean really? She met Jean-Luc Picard and she doesn't get an autograph...honestly

I would like to meet Denise Crosby someday.

That's amazing.  That's almost as casual an encounter as mine.
"I am Captain Jean-Luc Piccard of the starship Enterprise."  Did she talk to him at all?

I can picture, at the beginning of the opera, everything is still and everyone is looking at Stewart...

I met Shatner at a hotel elevator. He said good morning to me.

Oh yes she spent the whole evening with him...it's her job, it's what she does. She also knows Geoffrey Rush personally...she's a big wig in the Australian performing arts industry.
