You know it happens more times than not... so basically when you're off duty and you want some holodeck time, isn't everyone just having a wild crazy orgy with holodeck fantasy characters? If so, would you put a sock on the door to the holodeck so nobody walks in?

there are privacy locks, and it's considered bad to enter someone's private holodeck time.
ok so you have sex with a hologram (If you're a guy) and when you deactivate....is there just a splat? is that a punishment for some ensign to clean that up?

Dude, that was THE main selling point for Quark's holosuites. Ha. (Vulcan Love Slave Part Two was quite the popular holo-novel.) As for Starfleet vessels' holodecks? Well, that sort of thing is probably frowned upon. And there might just be computer-controlled limits on how much romantic "mingling" is allowed with holo-characters. |

Wow,Chickadee. That really makes me think! So let's use food as a substitute... You bring a cheeseburger into the Holodeck with you, you meet a cute girl and she asks for a bite of your cheeseburger...you are in there with her for awhile(nothing happens, you are on your best behavior) and you get called to your post. You end the program. Does the chewed up bite of cheeseburger "she" ate fall to the floor of the Holodeck in a gross mess? |

I don't know...it would make sense that it would. My understanding is that certain elements like water or food is actualy replicated, so you can realy go for a swim and be wet after you leave, and you can actualy eat there. I don't know if a hologram could even take a bite of some real food |

Imaging walking into the holodeck and seeing The Doc from Voyager getting it on with some holo-chicks.
NO idea what I would think if I saw that...

Tuvok took care of his Pon Farr once in the holodeck (can't remember the episode title). Since the season lasted only 7 years he must've been back home the next time he experienced it.
The TNG crew had no objection to sex in the holodeck unless it involved a recreated holo image of an existing crewmate (Hollow Pursuits).
Quark's holodeck's, ......now that's a different story!

Good point... how does the "splat" get cleaned up? I don't think we ever saw any type of cleaning technology in TNG. |

Good point... how does the "splat" get cleaned up? I don't think we ever saw any type of cleaning technology in TNG. |
It gets beamed into the protein resequencer for the food replicator system. Where do you think they get the tartar sauce for the fish sticks? |
