Playmates have announced the second wave in their Star Trek range! There are new editions in the Warp, Galaxy and Command action figure lines. They are as follows:

3.75 INCH FIGURES:
Bones in Starfleet Uniform
Chekov in Starfleet Uniform
Cadet Kirk
Kirk in Spacesuit
Kirk in Off Duty Uniform (the black shirt he wore in the movie)
Academy Instructor Spock
Sulu in Spacesuit
Ayel
Sarek
Keenser
Drakoulias (aka the Polarilla on Delta Vega)
They will be released in "mini waves", starting in July and running through October.

SIX INCH FIGURES
Bones in Starfleet Uniform
Chekov in Starfleet Uniform
Cadet Kirk
Academy Instructor Spock
Drakoulias (aka Polarilla on Delta Vega)
Hengrauggi (aka Lobster Monster on Delta Vega)
They will be released in "mini waves", starting in July and running through October.

12 INCH FIGURES
Scotty
Uhura
Nero
Pike (Toys R Us exclusive)
Sulu (Toys R Us exclusive)
All, except Nero, are in Starfleet Uniforms.

There will also be a Utility Belt released, with different versions of the Starfleet Phaser and Communicator issued in the first wave.

Wave Three starts in Spring 2010, but some elements may appear in late 2009, probably for Christmas. As there are no new ships in Wave Two, I hope we will all wake up on Christmas Morning with a USS Kelvin or a Narada under the Christmas tree! Or both!

It'd be interesting to see are there any plans to make a toy out of the Jellyfish...

Huh, sounds cool.  Too bad all the love is directed at the 3 inchers ... I'm only interested in the 6 inchers!  Although I suppose the Delta Vega monsters will be cool to own.  :logical:

Thanks for the heads up sonofspock1! :D

I'm the very same! I think the 3.75 inch ones are very dodgy looking. I was surprised to find that they were the big sellers. Pity Sarek and Ayel are'nt being released in the six inch range. Have you seen the 3.7s Ayel? His clothes are'nt very Romulan... Maybe in Wave Three he look more like himself!

I just got the entire run of the first wave of the 3 3/4 figures and man I really didn't realize they looked as crappy as they did. (I bought them off of a picture in Previews, from my local comic book store. I haven't seen the 6 inch ones, are they worth buying?

I collect the Art Asylum Trek figures as well, and was really dissapointed in Playmates' versions of the movie characters. Too bad AA couldn't have gotten the license to do the movie figures and rp 'toys', as there ENT phase pistol and communicator were pretty good.

Compared to the 3.75 inch ones, yes. But you should check them out first if your thinking of getting them. I personally hate the sight of the little ones.

Yeah, the little 3 inch ones are far from nice, their faces for example are painted badly.  The 6 inchers may not be perfect but they are vastly superior to the 3 inchers.  IMO of course. ;)

Mehhh... Playmates sucks.

If only NECA did those action figures, or at least DST.

I'm in love with DST's new Enterprise-D!  Shame they just announced that the four Borg figures they were going to do have been cancelled. The four were Borg Drone, Assimilated Starfleet Officer, Borg Seven and Seven.  Lack of pre-sales were the cause. There were even going to be Alcoves. :(

But I hope Playmates make a Captain Robau figure with a bloodstained shirt!

Depend's on where you live some areas get them quicker than others. Where I live they get in about a week late.
