If you have not heard, a new Star Trek show is being written. ¿From all the info I have gathered, it looks fantastic!!! ¿It is called Star Trek Cardinal. ¿I have been following its progress and reporting on it on my blog at startrekcardinal.blogspot.com. ¿
The only problem is, CBS is not so sure it wants to take a chance on Sci Fi right now. ¿But you can help. ¿CBS wants to hear from you to see if you, the Trek fan, still exist. ¿Click on my blog and read about how you can help by pressing just a few buttons.

I am not sure I am ready for a new Star Trek series!! Im still trying to collect and watch the past series!! OMG, Im still reeling form the Movie!! Whewww....

Don't get your hopes up. It's fan fiction. Nothing more.
Though truth be told, I think that the fact that you have ONE post indicates that you're in league with Lagonia, and he's using you to try to garner attention. Or you're a sock puppet used for the same reason.

you know it's not actually a sure thing, right?
like: he's pitching it, but hasn't received word one way or another?
'in league with' is a bit cynical, more likely just someone from his board who decided to migrate.

It's possible. But when someone creates an account just to create a single topic promoting something and then shows no interest in participating in any other way, then, yes, I am quite cynical. |

i'm a big fan of Cardinal and would love to see it on the air, but think about it, we've seen so many proposals come and go, from Bryan Fuller to Orci's origional attempt. we've gotten pretty cynical. could this one come true? well, it's certainly a lot better than Fuller's idea and i think it would be great, but there are alot of hurdles to overcome and many have tried before. i wish the show luck but lets not get our hopes up too high.

We need a Trek show where the captain is an alien, say Andorian, andmakes fun of the humans and tries to teach them to be more Andorian. Seriously, first 3 seasons of TNG suck so bad, especially with Picard yelling at the top of his lungs I AM HUMAN ! NON HUMANS ARE WORTHLESS !!!!!!!!!

That sounds interesting but another series would be Star Trek over kill. Now another series of movies would be better. Although I'd like to learn more about this, Anyone have a link besides the blog spot one?

I'd like to see a new Star Trek. I think major networks should take on some sci-fi. I think fox has shown that people are still into sci-fi with Fringe and The Doll House (Although the Doll House, I don't really count as sci fi), but still I'm sick of all the cop dramas.

Yeh right. Didn't you know I am making the next Trek TV series? Please, they would give Trek to the Pro's not to someone with little to no TV experience. Don't you realize how many Trek fans write out their own versions of a Trek TV series and think their fan fiction is the best and should be made into a Trek TV series? |

So, is the fact that he, according to you, hasn't given a reason why he dislikes your idea what makes him the "resident Cardinal hater?" Or is it something else?

1701E has been attacking this show since the begining. its best to just ignore him. i think slag just got tired of letting 1701E bait him into arguments. |

So now people aren't allowed to not like Cardinal? I told you why I don't like it. It's Firefly, Voyager and the new Galactiica combined. Plus the crew allways fiighting, that's not what Trek is about. The ship is even ugly. Plus the ship constantly breaking down. You think with all that Alien and Human tech working together that it wouldn't work right all the time? I really think you and poster of this topic just try to get attention for your fan fic. Don't you realize how many Trek fans think have their Trek series written out and think it should be the next Trek series? Besides your Trek is based on B&B Trek and that Era of Trek is out. Abrams Trek Era is in. |

So have I. I think "Cardinal" is a terrible idea. I've said so on many occasions. The only difference I can see is that, according to SLagonia, TrekFan1701E hasn't given any reasons, while I have. |
