Got it... Hands down, best ship released so far. It is actually based on the GENERATIONS to Voyager CGI model, not on the 6 footer, since the impulse engine of the secondary hull is slightly beyond the level it had on the model.
Details are awesome, sounds are awesome, and the saucer seperation simply rocks.
It is in scale with the Enterprise-E (and now one can see how small the newer one actually is).
Defineatly worth the money!

I'm still trying to figure out how the D can be bigger than the E. The bridge, windows, shuttlebays, etc. all seem smaller on the E.

anyways, I think i'll pass on this one I didn't realize how big it is until I went to the store. Its pretty huge. Don't have the shelf/desk space for it. Plus I don't think I'll be spending that much on models/toys anymore lol

Yeah... she is huge... but looks not like a toy, rather like the studiomodel... and the illumination is superb. I tell you... get one, you won't be disappointed It is so cool to have them (the Picard Es) side by side. I have been waiting for this for over 10 years now...

Simply write to DST. It is usually not a big issue. My NCC-1701-A stand broke, and they were able to send me a new one (eventhough I live in Germany). That's customer service...

Maybe this will help give an ideal(yes it is to scale):

Armada 2 or Bridge Commander? She is longer... but only by mere meters (or cm as a toy). We you take a look at them from the front, the Sovie looks small compared to the huge, wide Galaxy.

Actually this is a screen shot from ST:Legacy w/TB2 mod. Lenth wise is as follows: Galaxy: 641 m, width 470 m(which is longer than Excelsior class by 3 meters. Sovereign: 685 m (original), 676.6 m refit. Yes in short the Galaxy class looks huge in comparison to most ships.

I got numbers that the Sovereign Refit is actually 673 meters long... the reposition of the nacelles shortened it by 12 meters.

That sounds about right I was going by a rough estimate I did in my head. At any rate the Galaxy is a huge ship with something like 2-2.5 times the displacement in metric tons of the Sovereign Class.

Not really, they very easily could have started with the basic spaceframe of the Sovereign and went from there. The only thing I dont like about the Aventie is the hump or squarish section at the back of the primary hull.
