Yes I have seen it six times now...and dialogue is my strong suit. As for the reflection in the glass, well I took the question on board to my latest viewing and it is clearly a crewmember and not GR.

Kirk is dead canonically. the new movie is a prequel so this could or could not change kirks' fate in generations. I'll even do a fake tombstone
