"Cause and Effect" is one of my favorite episodes too. In fact, it was probably the best episode Brannon Braga ever wrote by himself. And Frakes' direction is top notch as always. I liked how he shot each sequence from different angles in order to help break from the monotony of seeing the same scene played out the same way over and over again. The devil is in the details.

I like to think so. A crew member was near an escape pod when Captain Picard gave the order to abandon ship, got in, ejected, and survived the explosion. Even though that crew member survived, he or she would still be caught in the temporal causality loop and have to repeat the process for 17.4 days until Data executes Riker's plan. Let's have some fun with this one: Red Shirt log: I have survived the Destruction of the Enterprise under Captain Picard. ¿I am now going to send out a distress signal and set a course to the closest Class M planet... ... "Captain's Log, Stardate 45652.1. The Enterprise has entered an area of space known as the Typhon Expanse. We are the first Starfleet vessel to chart this unexplored region." ... "All hands, abandon ship! Repeat - all hands, abandon... Red Shirt log: I have survived the Destruction of the Enterprise under Captain Picard. ¿I am now going to send out a distress signal and set a course to the closest Class M planet... ... ¿ "Captain's Log, Stardate 45652.1. The Bozemen was mentioned a few times I believe afterward in a both Generations and First Contact.
In Generations it was one of the 3 ships that picked them up or at least it was the one that had to make a minor course corection in First contact it is part of the attack on the cube, you hear it ordered to do something.
Not sure if it was mentioned in DS9.

I am coming out of lurkdom to express my love for this episode. It's one of my top 10 TNG episodes. I'm going to watch it tomorrow after work I think. It's been a while.

One of my favorite TNG episodes indeed, but it is too bad they couldn't put in a Constitution Class Starship instead of another reliant rebuild . As far as Kristy not wanting to do Trek for less money that was a bad move on her part in regards to her career. She really is nobody now, sad, she could have had better memories if she had just been willing to do III and IV as well as TNG, I know I would have if she had stayed with Trek! Oh well.

Wrong, Kirstie Alley rose to prominence in her 1987-1993 role as Rebecca Howe on the long-running hit TV sitcom Cheers. She was nominated for Emmy awards six times during her acting career and won twice. Alley was also nominated for a Golden Globe five times, with a win for her performance in Cheers. Kirstie Alley is a successful writer and producer as well as an actress. Star Trek actually made very little impact on her career. And she's doing well off enough that she chose to donate $5,000,000 USD to the Church of Scientology. To say that "she is nobody now" just because she turned down a role in Star Trek is really a pretty ignorant comment in the face of all of her accomplishments.

Actually she had a history of turning down roles during her time with Cheers, although she prefered money to fame she could have been a big hollywood star if she just had cultivated her options in TV and movies but no one want to pay six figures to a TV star who is just doing a comedy unless they are Jim Carey or Robin Williams. After Cheers she really didn't do much. She expected to much pay for her work as an actor so I am actually not speaking out of ignorance I am talking about someone who thought too much of them self. She could have had a really good acting career after cheers but she made many bad decisions.
