Agreed--impossible not to like them both, together and separately. Long Hot Summer, amazing. And to think that's how they met.

So, MG, I'm tired---it's the usual 4 am time--but I felt I needed to stick around for Schlapp's 5000. Because I perceive it shall come before dawn. Can we hurry him up?

So, am I to assume that crude comments are permitted without disclaimer here?
I'd have this man screw me 'till the cows come home. |
Ahhh.... And I remember the times when you would ask "Who is this Alan Rickman person anyway?" I watched "Die Hard" a couple nights ago... and all the time I was cheering for the bad guy! yum!!!! And I was like "Move over Bruce!!! "

I'm not sure whoever thought Bruce Willis was "action hero" material anyway. I'm afraid anytime I saw him in one of those roles all I could do was laugh. He WAS quite good in "Sixth Sense" though - a much more appropriate character for him.

Please, gentlemen, refrain from cluttering up this thread with irrelevancies.
I'll NEVER forget the only time I got to see Jose Greco II (and his father, btw, during his final tour) live. I was gradually filled with so pure, profound, and all-consuming a lust that, had I been sitting next to ANY man (I wasn't), he'd not have been able to escape ravishment. Funny, it didn't affect my friend that way at all. No accounting. MG, LTS, KBSF, NJ, and all other discerning audience members, enjoy!

####, still does the trick! |
as enjoyable as his dancing is, he still isn't Fred Astaire |
Fred was the epitome of masculine grace, charm and elegance. Gene Kelly on the other hand added a bit more virility and exuberance to his work...
The classic "Singing in the Rain"
Do do do do, do do dobe do do... |
Oh YES! I just bought a copy of 'Singing in the Rain' on DVD. #2 son and I watched it just a couple of days ago. #2 is a 17 yo 'song and dance man' and he absolutely loved it. What's not to love? Gene Kelly was a God! And that movie was his Masterpiece. Do do do do, do do dobe do do...

I love it, of course.....but for pure Gene-ness, give me An American in Paris. Besides, all Gershwin, and Oscar Levant playing 3rd movement of Concerto in F....and at least one of my favorite songs....and ending with a full ballet...
