Hi, I was thinking about starting a very old post I've started over 2 years ago again. I'm posting it on this forum because it is my favorite, Here, anyone can ask any questions to do with Star Trek's universe, I prefer to avoid any "Behind the Scenes" questions but feel free to ask anyway. Here anyone can provide the answer be it canon or opinion. Just remember to point out if it is canon or not when you answer. Past Examples:The Borg, Dominion, Federation, etc. Ships Weapons Aliens Technologies Characters Battles

Ok, why didn't the Vorta use their telekenetic abilities again as shown in "The Jem Hadar"?

Officially, the writers just changed their minds. That happens a lot.
Unofficially, people thinks that she's either designed that way for a particular purpose to test the Alpha Quadrant intruders since they have nothing to disable the force-field without their weapons & neither a human or ferrengi have any abilities of their own to disable the device.
or a mere prototype that they change their mind.

What happened to the borg after endgame?
We know the destruction of the hub was a big blow to them, but what about any knowledge that the borg got from Future Janeway being assimilated / partially assimilated before the hub blew up? What about learning about Voyagers weapons / defenses was any of this info passed on to the new queen?

Logically it should have been. After all the Sphere retain that knowledge & was unaffected by the virus, suggests that the Collective out there which aren't effected too did retain the knowledge. And if the Collective have the knowledge, so does the future Queen host. As the Queen is the Collective.

Totally non canon and only my own opinion, but my idea on this was that Vorta lines are bred for certain types of functions. Weyoun's for politics/diplomacy, Yelgren seemed like a warrior/tactician/fighter, Borath a scientist, Eris a spy, Kilana.. not surewhat she might have been but she was SURELY out of her element trying to rescue that injured founder in 'The Ship'. So maybe Eris was the only Vorta bred with those abilities and since we never saw another Eris we never saw those abilities again

I know I'm not the one who is to be answering questions, seeing as how Vold is the true Trek Encyclopedia in human form, but I just feel like answering. I'm guessing the reason for this is the same reason why we still drive Carbon Dioxide emitting vehicles. it's like, "Oh, I know the fuel we use is harmful to the environment around us, but it's our only form of transportation, soooo.... yeah...."

from what i've read, it's b/c voyager was built with a variable warp drive (the tilting warp nacelles). that way it can travel at warp speeds faster than the limit set in that TNG episode. btw, didn't the enterprise basically break that rule in subsequent episodes and movies?
