2387. The universe is a peace. The borg have been defeated while the Romulans have devolved into a massive civil war between the Imperial Romulan State and Romulan Star Empire. The Klingons are being themselves...exploring, conquering, and all that glorious stuff. While everyone else is being themselves, largely quiet and cooperative, at times. A different picture than what it was less than six years ago.

The attacks were swift and devastating. Whole worlds destroyed in moments, forget assimilation it was wholescale destruction. Any who escaped were the lucky few. starfleet scrambled sending ships to key planets, while others were sent to intercept and destory any cubes in the Alpha Quadrant. However, the borg had seemingly found a new way to wreak havoc on this side of the galaxy, using subspace tunnels they sent 1000s of cubes to the Alpha Quadrant, the War of Attrition had begun. Thousands were sent to devastate the Federation and her allies and nonaligned partners. However, thanks to the efforts of the starships Enterprise, Titan, and Aventine the Borg threat was ended for all time through the intervention of a powerful, reclusive civilization. Yet for years many still lived in fear of what lay ahead.

Starfleet, the Klingon Navy, and the Romulan Galaes were devastated by the Borg. Starfleet lost over 40% of the fleet while the Klingons were set back even further than they could ever imagine. As the four struggled to rebuild their once mighty fleets, the Dominion made a reappearance. Their blitzkreig attacks were almost exact copies of the Borg attacks, however, they never mobilized on a massive scale as the borg.

They first attacked nearby colonial worlds, then they reached out twoards larger and more lucrative targets such as New Bajor. They attacked ships at random and generally wreaked havoc on the gamma Quadrant. However, just as the war drums within the big three started to sound...the Dominion attacks stopped. In response Starfleet Command scrambled a task force specifically designated to patrol the Dominion border in a show of force to the Dominion. Amongst these ships was the USS Chenonceau, an Excalibur-class explorer.

The USS Chenonceau is now looking for a crew to fill some recently vacated positions.

Though the ship has been designated to border patrol, the Chenny is allowed to decide her own missions and explore the general area. Many of her missions will be geared towards exploration, the true essence of Starfleet.

but we still haven't figured out who the Second officer is

domo_arigato, sir you really need to think about where you get your story lines. I know not many read startrek fiction but the latest series of novels you are basing your story line is good and all but you really need to think about:

NOT PUTTING SPOILLERS IN YOUR ADD!!!

To me, many of those points are inconsequential. If you go to this thread or even this thread you'll learn practically the whole storyline of the trilogy. HOWEVER, I have failed to mention many of the other "important" points (e.g what has become of the Borg...who the interveners were....or even how the Borg arrived in the Alpha quadrant so quickly....what worlds they ravaged....or even the how Starfleet and her allies took on many of the cubes early on....etc.) ¿I only took points that were important to the stroyline of the Chenny and the TG in general.

Actually they were consequential for those who might have JUST started reading the series. You have to learn to think about things, at least put a spoiler warning at the top of your post letting people know you might ruin some of the book for them. And "this thread" and "even this thread" that you fight back are null and void to your arguement due to the fact that they clearly list they ARE ABOUT THE BOOK and might contain SPOILERS therefore me for instance would AVIOD threads about the book because COMMON SENSE tells me that people will most likely discuss plot SPOILERS of the trilogy.

Yet, how many people are actually going to pick on the fact that this game was based on those books?

Well I certainly didn't know this was based on books (although knowing domo it seemed likely they would be...)

Well if you think about probably a good bit, usually people who are interested in writing are usually interested in reading. And considering the trilogy is new, it is quite possible that people have yet to catch on to the series. Maybe alot have read this all ready but I'm the first to say something then again maybe no one has noticed except me. I'm not trying to cause I problem I'm just asking that people be a bit more sensitive in what they post.

CA, if he wants to base it on the book thats his business and you should keep your nose out of it. Thats the problem with numerous posters here, wanting to impress their ideas about how things "have" to be done on others.

Its called freedom of expression, he doesnt have to include anything he doesnt want to. So stuff it.
